  5. I think the organization just doesn't beleieve people when they say they are so frustrated they are giving up their 'fandom' of the team. And in the past they have been mostly correct. Myself, 20 years ago I wouldn't believe that anyone could be a fan of a team and then 'give up' that team or sport. To me it was just something that people said when they were frustrated, but it wasn't true, so I thought. Things are different now, at least for me. As I have said many times I was a Bills season ticket holder for over a decade, never missed a game, memorized the entire rosters year after year, had jerseys, hats, all sorts of clothing and posters/banners. Now, I barely watch a game. And that is a team that is WINNING. It just gets to a point where its not worth it. Forget about the money, its not worth the time, its not worth feeling bad a lot more than you feel good after some games. With the Sabres I have gotten myself to not even thinking about the playoffs hardly, I think of it as a simple 'one night' entertainment. That is how I got through the last set of years. But I'm almost at the point of not even caring about that anymore. They are losing people/fans in a way that I think they still don't understand.
  6. It still displays losing.....
  7. The decision to institute the lottery system for the draft is what screwed the Sabres. Gary knows it, we know it, rest assured Edmonton knows it.
  8. What about the scoreboard? 🤣 I’ll see myself out…….
  9. With 7 minutes to go, i tapped out. My eyes showed me a hard working team with not a lot of talent, futility trying again. My wife commented about the lack of joy the sabres provided me.A rangers friend texted me that the Sabres were controlling play, because he feels sorry for me. i expected a 2-0 score when I woke up. I'm watching from a distance for awhile.
  10. Apert needs to be the first sacrifice to this season. Fire him before the start of the third period tomorrow.
  11. I'd trade Norris to any team who took his entire contract for a fringe prospect at this point. I didn't understand the trade last year, and I still don't understand it this year. All the "well if he stays healthy, it's a huge upgrade", is pure speculation. The results speak for themselves, Norris is not a clubhouse cancer, or a malcontent, but he's not a player who stays healthy. Get this sinking ship out of Buffalo ASAP.
  12. Add more smoke to the fire. This is just the start of our season.
  13. Just theoretically. IF (big if) Norris was traded I think we would still get a top six forward. Just not a center. Maybe even off load Muel in the deal somehow. Benson Thompson New Guy Zucker Kulich Tuch Won’t happen. Just a hypothetical to have fun with the situation.
  14. I wish Seattle would end it so I could go to bed. But regardless I’m rooting for a Toronto - Milwaukee World Series. Please just not the Dodgers.
  15. Mariners and Tigers. The never ending story.
  16. It’s odd and makes me wonder about predisposition (similar injury to last year) or strength and conditioning issues (the team overall)—the latter being really concerning because it extends beyond Norris. As my doctor explained to me for my situation, I had gone to the gym that morning, came home, and was outside moving logs and bags of animal feed around. I over worked myself without realizing it (granted, I’m mid-30s and certainly not an elite athlete so it doesn’t take much). I was just sore and I ignored it like a normal person. Anyway, I took a break for lunch and while cooking onions I sneezed. The sudden contraction of the muscles while sneezing caused the damage and it was sufficient to double me over. I could not stand up at all. I was basically immobilized. It was crazy. Is it the same/similar situation for him where the twisting motion from the face off brought him to his knees because he was overworked? No clue. But if it is, I should point out it was also entirely preventable when it happened to me and I should have known better. A professional athlete with access to team trainers, doctors, nutritionists—you name it—should absolutely know better. It’s very strange.
  17. And wow, I don't really care who wins this game, but that was some serious BS on the review.
  18. Indeed they are. And whoever wins will have tired legs and sore arms on Sunday evening.
  19. To the bottom of the 12th. The Tigers and Mariners are having themselves a game.
  20. I wouldn't disparage Tua this guy literally was like I am healthy now and ready to go! 2 periods later he is done for weeks like you can't make this sh#t up
  21. But the picture quality is nicer.
  22. There was so much hype about how this was going to be the first summer ever where he could actually train and not just be rehabbing. He was our only real hope in replacing Peterkas offense. Unlike the last two years, I was actually kind of excited about this season... still skeptical on goaltending, but excited to watch some good hockey. Now, unless this is just a freak minor thing (unrelated to his past injuries) I think we're for sure worse this year than last. 😞
  23. As Zucker has said, “hope” is not a plan. Kevyn hoped Norris would stay healthy. Kevyn hoped a goalie would emerge from the bowl of spaghetti. Kevyn hoped his defense would be better. Kevyn hoped his coaching staff would magically become effective. Kevyn hoped Quinn, Doan and others would replace JJP’s lost production. How has that worked out?
  24. You’re not wrong. Walking out of the arena, I said, “it was nice one team I root for understood the assignment on opening night.” If the Sabres ever get healthy, the spark plugs of Dunne & Kozak can make the Amerks elite.
  25. At least we have one team that will be good.
