  1. Past hour
  2. No reason really. Probably cant be worse though. Doan has some scoring upside that none of the others do
  3. Lund...very nice.
  4. It looks worse then what it is. Kulich and Benson are not considered prospects because they're on the main club but most teams don't have a 20 and 19 year old play a full season for them. Helenius, Wahlberg, Östlund, Rosen all look promising. Neuchev also did until his injury.
  5. If Byram is as good as he believes to be then possibly his best contract enhancing strategy should be to take is a bridge deal. He then will have the opportunity to demonstrate his current and future market value. The cap is going up so that should also increase his future value. The advantage for Buffalo is that if he plays well, he helps the team. And if his potential future salary becomes too big to handle, then his trade value also increases. What it comes down to for the GM is that a Byram trade either returns a commensurate asset or he is retained and helps the team right now. I have been a harsh critic of KA. But in his handling of the Byram situation he is doing it deftly.
  6. where do you see a suggestion? Did you watch his latest press conference? I didn’t call him dumb but I do think he is a very poor GM, not dumb, just bad at his job and his record reflects that. Sorry if that offends you.
  7. General question, not directed specifically to you: Why should a fan believe that Danforth and Doan are different than Lafferty, Aube-Kubel, and Malenstyn?
  8. The agent is making the noise
  9. I don't understand the thought process for $9 million per year. Is he a high draft pick with potential? I guess so. But nothing in his play, even if you dig deep into the advanced stats, says $9 million per year... Or even close to that.
  10. A Zucker type can be signed in the weeks to come after the Byram thing works itself out
  11. Prediction, there are rumblings that Lindy is not a Malenstyn Fan
  12. Yep - i remember around 5 in the early 70s going to our seats 2nd row from top in the oranges. I was a “lap kid” for a lot longer than I should have been. This product is disgusting
  13. Probably they were not paralyzed in the sense that the big ticket FAs likely were not interested. But if you are keeping money in reserve dependent on whether you are going to match an offer sheet or sign Byram to a contract, presumably one isn't using that cap space to go after an Ehlers, for instance. Regardless, at this point, they can wait it out if they want.
  14. Well said, from a 63 yo that has been a fan since September 1970
  15. I don't see a suggestion there. It's an observation. We don't spend to cap, do you disagree? Didn't KA say that they were proactively dumping salary so that offer sheets for Byram could be matched?
  16. Today
  17. Please explain how the Sabres are paralyzed? Is there a deadline to move Byram? Does the season start next week? Is your Hot Pocket taking too long? Chill.
  18. If you're going to call our GM dumb, don't make your own dumb suggestions
  19. So would Danny Gare.
  20. The team that doesn’t spend to cap was dumping salaries because of Bo Byram’s potential offer sheet. Only Adams.
  21. Wait... trade for William Eklund so I can show y'all he's better than Power.
  22. They view Smith as a winger. Paired him with Celebrini this past year.
  23. There's talk they could put Torey Krug on LTIR which would free up $6.5m of their cap. Yet if rumors of Byram wanting $9.0m then they'd still have to make another move to get under the cap.
  24. https://puckpedia.com/team/buffalo-sabres shows that Byram reaches UFA status in 2027-28. Personally keeping Byram for another season feels like a mistake.
  25. A lot of media noise yesterday concerning the Blues trying hard to make a deal for Byram. They have cap concerns which means they would have to deal vets in return to make it work. The offer sheet idea for them makes no sense .
  26. Not to mention your neighbors who are sleeping. Happy 4th! My late great parents were married on this day 80 years ago. It's also my anniversary. Enjoy the day.
