Well according to google we also tied the league record... it did not mention that we were already tied for the league record... So good to know.

My personal opinion is neither one is an aberration but neither one is who they are. They are a combination of both. They are a team that is just outside of the playoffs. They are a combination of three games that they were at the start of the season with the better team that they've been since. Now when they get some injured players back, let's see if they can improve on that.

It sort of depends on where you slice the pie. 5-1-4 over the last 10 games is great. 1-0-4 over the last 5 is not so good. On balance, things have been encouraging after the 0-3 start. I think goaltending has been good to very good in all but 2 games. They seem like a more mature group than the last two years. Hopefully Benson, Zucker, and Danforth are all back soon and we will get a closer look at what the near full line-up looks like.

Sabres are 5-1-4 in the last ten, which is 0.700 points%. That's playoff pace every year, even 0.600 is solid for the playoffs. People can complain about OT losses all they want, but the Sabres could play 5-1-4 or 4-2-4 hockey all season and be pretty safe for the playoffs. It remains to be seen if the last ten or the first three are the aberration. The Sabres have never been afraid run to a zero-for-a-month streak.

Makes sense on the tribute stuff. Just lamenting on the broken culture that makes them want to leave. I looked up 40 Thieves. It’s at Elmwood and W Ferry. I’ve seen it, never went in. I do remember Merlin’s. We stay in Elmwood Village quite often near Bidwell and Elmwood. JT’s is my go to place in that area.

And I like Tuch but he shouldn't be above criticism is my point. especially last night he missed a complete open net on the 3 on 1 You could hear the exasperation in Rob Rays voice right after he missed it he missed a point blank opportunity right before the Utah goal and it was literally his man that got away from him He seems to be the one guy that always gets a pass. )

I understand that, but sometimes just having the guy there can make a difference. It's kind of like how big and tough a little kid will act on the playground if his big brother is there beside within earshot. That might seem a silly example, but if you think about it, hockey really isn't that different from kids on a playground.

I think the min games is 300. Four seasons or more, and that’s if you have character and impact as a player. Maybe 2 seasons if you were a fan favorite and won a cup or made some significant contribution to a championship or memorable season. JJP had 3 seasons maybe 220 games. Impactful yes, but character, no. And losing seasons to boot. I side with the organization on this one. JJP got exactly what he deserved. A one way ticket out of Dodge. On a side note, you might remember 40 Thieves on Elmwood better as Merlin’s. I went there this summer with a group of college buddies. The food was fantastic, the remodel is above average. Looks nothing like Merlin’s of the early 90s when I was there last. And the clientele….I can see why JJP might frequent. Stunning young ladies on a random Friday in July.

I kind of want to see what happens if Doan plays with Rosen and Östlund. That line with Quinn has been playing well so no reason to change I guess.
