Woohoo! Gameday in Vancouver. Just gotta wade through the Pineapple Express and avoid the flooding on the way up there. Buffalo's victory in Edmonton kept this game from being a battle for last place in the league.

I despise Lucic, but maybe he wants to keep playing the game he loves? If he's not tied down with a family why wouldn't you go play internationally somewhere? If I were him I'd be picking a new country for each season and get to explore the world a bit.

I know I'm repeating myself from a couple of days ago, but.... Why is the team continuing to carry three goalies? Lindy ruff himself says it's challenging for him and for the goalies. Former goaltenders like Marty Baron have said it's a bad situation for the three goaltenders on the team. I can't think of who it was, but in the past couple of years I remember hearing goaltenders who were part of the three goaltender tandem saying it was hard to play that way. Common Sense tells you that when you never know if you're playing, backing up, or going to be sitting in the press conference a week in advance, it's got to be really hard. So why aren't they doing something about this? My favored solution has always been find someone who will take UPL, even if it's for a very small return... But why are they letting this go on when the coach is practically begging for it to stop?

If he needed cash, he'd be better off running a hockey school or something. Parents will pay hand over fist for a trainer that played high level hockey.

Or maybe he has no family life he wants to pursue and he just wants to play hockey at the highest level he can dominate. There is no way we can accurately predict his motivations.

Any combination of 2 of the current 3 goalies is an expectation of the same as this year. There has to be a better solution for next season. Period.

Same league, yes. Lucic must be seriously short of cash. EIHL players don’t make retirement money. Less than a school teacher even for the highest paid.

I can think of reasons. Maybe the want to change the makeup of the lines toward tenacious play. Or maybe they plan on using him on the fourth line and with Kozak, Krebs and/or Malenstyn moving up to a different line.

I listened to a Paul Hamilton interview on WGR and was shocked by the candor. He called the team a joke and said Adams needed to be fired immediately. Very refreshing to hear. Said the fans would burn the arena to the ground if they signed Adams to an extension One thing he said that blew my mind was that the Sabres have only ever hired 2 GMs with previous NHL GM experience. Imlach was GM of the Leafs before they hired him and Bowman was GM of the expansion Blues before Buffalo hired him. What is this franchise’s issue with hiring experienced GMs?

As Marty would say, they are tied for turd place. I would like to see Levi and Ellis be the tandem next year. I still do not trust UPL. Not sure if the young guys can do it but I am done with UPL, he can win but his vibe screams mediocre.

No. More like a puck hound with a bit of an edge. Unafraid. Maybe more Benson maybe. I'm really not sure why the Sabres would call him out to Vancouver if Zucker and Norris are out. Rosen made sense but Kuntar is a different guy.

How long you been watching? How do you maintain this unfounded optimism? Every year they actually show the opposite.
