  2. melvin novotny as well. maybe the sabres should be cashing those 2nd-6th round picks in for more 7th round choices 😂
  3. Well, he got roasted for saying how hard it is to win in the NFL but he was a better coach than given credit for and he didn’t have much to work with during his tenure here, especially at QB. My biggest gripe with him was the Maybin pick, which he pounded the table for at the time despite reservations of others in the scouting department and front office. But an off the charts pro day by Maybin at Penn State made Jauron blind to anyone else.
  4. Got my Roswell autographed hat... UPL 😂
  5. I think Kozak should have been given 4th line Center duties over Krebs. Glad to see/Surprised to see Östlund remains in the line up with return of Norris. But not worth quibbling between two for 4C duties. Krebs has been durable, and fine with giving the JAG with more experience.
  6. I love this thread for all the wrong reasons. Allow me to explain: 1) I already feel like AI is running this team because its the same reguritated crap we've seen for years reconfigured into a new consolidated form that looks slightly better than before, but still something is obviously not right. I don't think there isn't a lot of "real" intelligence in this front office, and the main reason for that is the guy running the show only knows how to dig holes, sell oil, and convince people to give him money. You don't have to be smart for that. Good for him, bad for us. 2) The claim that solar and wind are expensive and are increasing the cost of electricity is 100% not true. I won't pontificate here, but if you are truly interested in learning why then google LCOE. Not only are solar and wind are the cheapest forms of energy production, they come online faster than gas or nuclear (solar or wind can take from 6-18 months, while gas (5-7 years) and nuclear (9-12) take much longer. The real increased cost of electricity is the fact these towns and residents are completely subsidizing the data center electrical demands on the grid along with your normal everday corporate greed. 3) Nuclear has it's place in the mix, but grid demand is not linear, it is intermittent. Once you start that nuclear reaction, the power has to go somewhere. That is why a good baseload strategy is a mix of gas and nuclear with wind and solar to handle peak and unplanned loads. It really is that simple. 4) New nuke tech is coming online over the next 5-7 years but as many mention above, 1) it requires a ton of water, 2) transportation of fuel and waste is problematic, 3) the proliferation of nuke plants requires geo-politic stability, which I have zero confidence in. For example, the risks were/are extreme when Russia went into Ukraine Not looking to debate anyone on anything, because, well, I've been in this industry for 25 years and have heard all the talking points, all the biases, all the "solutions," and worked on everything but nukes at this point. Just felt I needed to step in and make sure the correct information is out there...
  7. I don’t care what Shittsbugh’s record is, they are ass. No idea how they’ve beaten anyone quite frankly. Just not a good team. Browns, Jets, Panthers and Flacco let Bengals account for most of their wins. Not exactly murderers row.
  8. What happened this week with Baltimore only scoring 14 on that defense?
  9. Finally someone who abbreviates Pittsburgh correctly. Tired of the Pitt references. That’s a college football team.
  10. Kincaid should be back this week and that should really help our offense. As for the defense the only thing they need to do is get 1 turnover from the Bengals. With how bad the defense is the Bills should feast as long as we have playoff Josh going with this run game.

  12. Stinkberg for Stenberg? Or would that be the Penguins motto? Stinkburgh for Stenbergh?
  13. Electronics are reliable when operated within their proper temperature range and keeping them in this safe operational environment extends their life. Even your laptop has a small fan in it but much of the laptop's thermal design is handled by making its mechanical design (such as the frame and the case) a heat sink for the electrical components. Electronics components in these massive data servers will throw out a lot of heat and if left unchecked they will fall out of their safe operating temperature and fail. Picture racks and racks of printed circuit boards, each with millions of circuits running high speed calculations. Blowers move cool air either over or through the boards. So A/C compressors are needed. Some really large systems have liquid cooling running through the equipment rack "cold walls" that are analogous to a car radiator system. A liquid cooling system also needs a heat exchanger. So you need power for the computers/servers, and for cooling systems, and for the buildings environmental control. They set it up in a closed loop system to maintain the optimal operating temperature - meaning they need thermostats, flow sensing, and real-time continuous monitoring. Given this, the buildings should be insulated and putting them in cooler climates makes much more sense to reduce the requirements for cooling. But, who knows what they actually do? Seems like a lot of energy and environmental impact for something with a debatable need.
  14. Stenberg is on track to have the best SHL draft year this century. Daniel Sedin managed to put up 21g, 21a, for 42pts in 50games way back in 1998. No one has done anything like that since. If you look at ppg, only Nylander 20pts in 21 SHL games is close to Stenberg who has 22pts in 23games. If Stenberg were to maintain this pace and put up 49pts in 52 SHL games, he would be atop the 17 or 18yr old SHL player list by 7 more pts than Sedin and 10 more pts than #2 Naslund. What I am saying is that what Ivar Stenberg is currently doing as an 18yr old in the SHL is unprecedented. One more note, is that Stenberg plays for Frolunda, which is Dahlin's SHL team and he would have practiced with them last month. Also Stenberg currently leads Frolunda in points. That's pretty crazy that an 18yr old prospect leads an SHL team in points. Before you ask, defensively Stenberg is good, really good.
  15. Stevenson later said leaving was a huge mistake. He thought America loved him when it actually loved Colonel Blake. A funny aside... Stevenson appeared on a talk show or variety show after his departure from M*A*S*H and portrayed Blake on a raft holding a sign that said I'm Alive or something to that effect. I've always wondered if the honchos killed him off out of spite. I've never liked or respected that decision. The company line was that it was meant to convey, basically, that war is Hell.
  16. I was hoping to stumble upon a TP has killed the hockey market post. Fortunate to find it amidst the Bandits discussion. Couldn’t find it elsewhere.
  17. All correct @Taro T. Had to go back and look. The Ravens were in the top spot heading into this (past) week's games. When I saw PIT in 1st and BAL ITH it was after BAL had already lost but PIT had not yet been demolished by the Bills. So both losing resulted in no change in the standings. I can get this out of my turkey-filled brain now. 😀 ... As I now see @Doohickie also explained.
  18. I’m aware that the ticket price is a factor in filling the arena. But the more important factors relate to the high level of play and competitiveness, just like the Bills with the high cost tickets. Buffalo and the surrounding area, including southern Ontario, is a terrific hockey market. Terry P has withered what should be a vibrant hockey market. Foolishness and gross incompetence are not traits that enhance promoting your entertainment product.
