  1. Past hour
  2. right. in which event i would expect the AAV to be closer to $11M.
  3. He can easily get 5 years at $10M from better teams in FA.
  4. The apparent Mister Rogers' themed introduction notwithstanding, I always took Sabrehood to be a riff on group-belonging concepts like brotherhood, sisterhood -- a belonging to a group with common ties. It's fine. Every pro team needs a branded group name to use. And honestly, there are so many cranky yell at clouds posters here. I changed my vote from "i don't care" to "i like it" just to balance out the grumps a bit.
  5. If its 5 years that would be a huge win for the Sabres, cause then they can walk away if the fall off starts
  6. Tage, and he gets 50 this year, cementing his contract as the new Mackinnon contract, best in the nhl
  7. Flip side of that is, the Rags could be gripping the sticks rather tightly should the Sabres get through the 1st 5 or 6 minutes without giving one up.
  8. An even match! LET'S GO!
  9. Neither is Mike Grier's actual brother. He's pretty bad at the job too. Interesting how little success Mike's 2 "brothers" have had as GMs. Mike hasn't had any success yet either, but he's set himself up to have a big off-season next year. Expect he'll be successful way before either Chris gets it figured out.
  10. Yeah, I hear you. I have no enthusiasm, and my interest is at all time low. For over 40 years, my passion was the Sabres (win or lose). I just feel hopeless and deflated. I almost feel like a part of me is on life support and in a coma. Will I watch games, yes. But not with the zeal I once had.
  11. At this point, we're more like a village than a hood. And every village has an idiot (hey there Kevyn!).
  12. Lyon. (Technically Fox own goaling, but Lyon will get credit for it.)
  13. I’ll be at the game tomorrow. The jerseys they are teasing look really nice. I’ve been wanting an Amerks jersey for a while now…
  14. My plan for this year is to watch the opposing team’s broadcast to make the games more watchable
  15. I come back when I see an article in the Athletic that I’d like to see expanded on more. Seldom do I sign in. If October and November go poorly, I’d imagine I’ll be going the way of GoDD. My two year old loves hockey and the Bills. I’m not sure he knows much of anything about the Sabres. I don’t want to say I care very little about the Sabres, because I know I care immensely about them. But much like the Sabres, my fandom is a shell of its former self and I cannot be bothered to invest emotional, financial or intellectual energy to them.
  16. Joe Rudi. There is name from the past. Rudi was a very good all around ballplayer and he was an important piece of the A’s championship teams that won 3 World Series in the early 70’s.
  17. Expos v. Giants at Olympic Stadium, for me. I was 15, and my family decided to take a four-day trip to Montreal by train. It was my first train trip and led to a life-long love of train travel. But CN went on strike while we were in Montreal, so my dad had to rent a car so we could get home. He let me drive part of the way over my mother's objection so I could get some practice in before turning 16 the following month.
  18. Shesterkin in net for the Rangers Lyon in net for Buffalo
  19. I'm annoyed that we're playing a team who already has opening night jitters off the table. The Rangers lost to the Pens 3-0 opening night, (2 empty netters), so I think they're going to come out with a chip on their shoulder, ready to go. I can already hear Ruff's excuse of "we were still getting our legs under us while they were in game shape from the get go. We got down in a 3-0 hole and couldn't recover (5-2 loss after an empty netter)" Anyways, Go Sabres!
  20. It’s going to be obvious by the third period whether or not hockey exists to me after the Olympics.
  21. Quinn, off a defenseman's leg (he will be desperate to avoid 1 ENG until December start to last season so he'll come out firing)
  22. Couldn’t resist so I plunked down the buck fifty for FloHockey. Go Amerks!
  23. Fielding a healthy team
  24. My first MLB game was the Angels at Jays in 1977. Joe Rudi hit a HR, but the Jays won. Don't really remember much else. It was a thrill
  25. Thompson
