  1. Past hour
  2. What was the final score? I tried that 900 number for sports scores, but it said to check the number and dial again.
  3. The old parts of the city are still the same, preserved historically. Parts of Portsmouth predate the USA by a hundred years. Most of the new development is on the periphery of the city, though there are is some new commercial development near downtown but outside the historic zone. Concord has seen far more improvement. When I got here in 1993 it's nickname was "City in a Coma" which was sadly accurate. Now a days, it feels more like Burlington VT.
  4. Seen a lot of development, no? I lived in Concord many moons ago and, from Google Maps images, Portsmouth seems to be very different, like Austin different.
  5. You really have to be dumb to this kind of stuff.
  6. if they look good again tonight, i might start to get excited about the season. despite all rational thoughts telling me i'm just getting sucked in again. what can I say, I have a sabres problem
  7. One of the biggest problems with the Sabres pp is still being ignored. They have shooters on each wing waiting to shoot. That hasn't worked in 4 years. Maybe they'll actually move this year, that would be new and different.
  8. No, Tuch is out and McLeod is running his spot.
  9. Tuch is out and was pencilled in the bumper.
  10. I'd hope even if he was 'good enough' to crack the top 6 (I'm not sure if I'm even there) that you wouldn't have him on the roster this year. I'm not worried about him being 'good enough' this year. I want him to be VERY good in 3-4 years. Yes, you can develop at the NHL level, yes, he can have side sessions after practice with development coaches. But I think he'd learn more playing a lot more minutes and still dealing with development coaches, just not at the NHL level.
  11. Will our full number one PP be together tonight?
  12. I’m rooting for a tie.

  15. Ooh ooh lemme guess! People = Food? I mean for some animals we are including people. 😋
  16. I was going for the reactions. As usual, it landed like a helicopter without power. People = ***** was the clue, although there may be only 5 or 6 people on this site that know what is hidden by the word censor.
  17. Way back in another life long ago, I frequently traveled to Portsmouth, NH and it is still one of my all time favorite places.
  18. Didn't they have someone with a gummi bear song at one point?
  19. No like the sabres of last year’s preseason, who went 6-1
  20. Really old... like late '90s, where they outworked their opponent nearly all night and got solid goaltending? (And yes, it's only a preseason game against a half-CBJ roster with no Werenski) but after the first period, the Sabres forechecked and backchecked like you'd expect of a '90s dead-puck team.)
  21. I totally agree with you... I just hope that he does it before the talented players on this team bolt...
  22. You hit on what is so intolerable about this owner. When he was a new owner he deserved plenty of forbearance entering a new sports ownership endeavor. A generation is more than enough time to adjust to this new realm for him. He’s a stubborn fellow. However, I do see him backing off more. And that is a good thing.
