Following 12 days spent across six cities and four different time zones, the Buffalo Sabres conclude their season-long road trip on Sunday against the Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena.

Alex Tuch and Josh Norris both could be in the lineup after practicing on Saturday, coach Lindy Ruff said.

Tuch missed Thursday’s win in Vancouver due to an illness. Norris has missed the last two games due to what Ruff described as a combination of illness and injury.

With no morning skate, Ruff said a decision on both players will be made pregame.

Noah Östlund also factored into the team’s lines at practice on Saturday following a recall from Rochester.

Seattle ranks last in the NHL with 73 goals scored – a reality that’s only been amplified by recent injuries to forwards Jaden Schwartz and Jared McCann. They lost in Utah on Friday.  That loss marked the continuation of what’s been a challenging season at both ends of the ice for the Kraken. At all strengths, their -44 differential in high-danger chances ranks last in the league. The next closest team, Utah, is -26.

Kraken is a dumb name. Go Sabres.

Three in a row??

I say yes. Adding Tuch and Norris should energize this tired group for its last game on this extended road trip. This battered group needs some positivity for its long flight back.

Question: Are players allowed to drink on team flights?

Well the Bandits blew a 4th Q lead last night and lost to the original Kin-ig-hit Hawks in OT.

What does that mean for the Bills and Sabres when playing the next day?  Wtf knows?

Go Sabres.  Let Adams end his time in this or-gan-i-za-tion with the 1st 3 game winning streak (all on the road mind you, where they'd only won twice before and had only picked up 6 points heading into this road trip) and let him dream of what might've been.

Just win. These guys need a 3 game streak in the worst way for overall morale.

KA is a dead man walking regardless. TP has to be aware of how this has not worked for 6 years as well as the ever growing mob with a vat of boiling tar while plucking geese and chickens.

It's a Sabres game where they can get to NHL .500 (or drafting 8th!). That typically means a loss, but today is different. The team can feel GM Sheevyn being hurled into reactor shaft from across the country.

A win today, a firing tomorrow, and it's all sunshine and puppies from here on out.

Seattle this year plays a faster version of what the Islanders have played over the last decade. Choke everything off and clog the middle. Force the play outside and try to win 1-0. They are good at it but not good at scoring. I expect the Sabres to have a hard time with this but you never know. They definitely have more scoring skill if they can fight through it. But will they? More often than not they don't.
