Obviously the Penguins wanted more than the Sabres. It’s great to have good defense but when that is all you’re playing for most of the game, that won’t win you the game.

Every time this team seems to get close to .500 or gains in the race over the years, the JUST CAN'T take that next step.

Why? They aren't good enough.

When I say they can go ahead and Trade Tuch, Change the front office, make big moves to the roster this is why. There are a lot of players you can make a case for being good, being REALLY good individually, but they aren't good enough to help the team win.

They can lose with anyone on this roster, they can lose without anyone on this roster.

They scored 2 ***** goals!!!!   That's not good enough. 

They had a defencemen gift the penguins 2 glorious chances and UPL is reason they lost ? 🤦‍♂️

UPL certainly did not 'win' the game by his performance, and his recent play has him not getting the benefit of the doubt from fans. Nor does he deserve it.  He has been so bad for most of the past 1+ years, he needs to win games, steal games, for this team. He's not doing that.

I do not think they lost because of UPL.  The team  front of him didn’t bring anything.  Zucker and Quinn had a good night.  That’s it.

I'm embarrassing for several other reasons.  Timmins has his worst game of the year for sure. I'll have to reevaluate my "UPL is always the problem" stance

Another loss that wouldn’t sting so much if they hadn’t started the season so poorly with only intermittent flashes of brilliance. This is not a playoff team not because they lost this game but because they are not consistent.

This organization needs a competent POHO to set some semblance of a standard. Removing guys like UPL and OP would be a byproduct of a standard.

I really can’t come up with a good take

They played a rough grimy 40min giving up 1 goal on a bad giveaway

Then fight for 20min to tie only to lose it to a bad bounce, get back into it at 3-2 only to somehow have the puck not go in on 4 good chances and then magically stick with 3 separate Penguins as they moved it out for the ENG. we made contact with the puck all 3 passes and yet in never diverted at all.

It’s games like these that make me feel we’re cursed. Get only negative luck in a solid effort and lose as such. At very least we deserved a point

Rangers leading right now in th 3rd, Leafs tied in the 3rd.  One goal by the Leafs and just like that the Sabres back at the bottom of the conference.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, goaltending just won the game for the Pens, Jarry just robbed the Sabres of a at the very least a tie game.
