Often times on the official scoresheet and NHL.com, they list goals as 'unassisted' for a few minutes before adding the assists. Its like they want to get the goal scorer up as soon as possible, and iron out the details a few minutes later. Benny did indeed get his assist on the empty netter by Tage. 1 Quote

For me personally, growing up I always looked forward to any games the day before Thanksgiving or the games on New years eve. The Wed before Thanksgiving, it was a long weekend from school (now sometimes a long-ish weekend from work), that a win that night just 'feels' better than most other nights. I feel like we play Pittsburgh a lot near Thanksgiving and we do not fare well. too lazy to look it up though. Quote
PerreaultForever Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago This one was more meaningful to me than the Chicago game. A couple more and I might start to believe. Cautious optimism. Zucker has made a big difference. The lines look more balanced now. If Norris ever comes back Östlund goes back down. Kesselring for Bryson, there's your full team. No idea what the goalie plan is as always but UPL made some good stops today. I'd be happy to never see Greenway again tbh. I don't know what happened to Samuelsson over the summer - maybe his dad told him he was a disgrace to the family name - but he's not the same player at all. He finally looks like the solid defender we wanted/expected and is kind of giving us what a lot of us hoped Kesselring would bring after the trade. In any event his play has changed things a lot. The biggest impacts on this team over last year are Doan being able to play top 6, Kozak being solid bottom 6, and most of all Samuelsson being solid. Refs were far too involved in this game and the Benson no goal was bs but there are tons of these every season, or even every week. It's just garbage but it is what it is and they overcame it so whatever. I've seen Carolina play better than that but all the same Sabres beat them today plain and simple. They were the better team. Now we see how long this lasts. 3 Quote

I mentioned something similar about Zucker, Benson, and Norris after the Chicago game, and did the same thing you did here--we either forgot about Kulich or he's not that valuable to this team at the moment? 1 Quote

Plus with Pittsburgh upcoming, the Penguins have lost 7 out of their last 9 after a hot start. They are old, pretty slow, and their 2nd and 3rd pair D-men are pretty much a collection of nhl journeymen. They will be well rested though. Quote
Scottysabres Posted 33 minutes ago Report Posted 33 minutes ago Copy and pasted from what I posted….”elsewhere” And the hockey Gods looked upon the league rinks, and the ice turned a Zamboni'd smooth, and they allowed'th the Sworded Buffalo's to harvest thee 2 points, and they then spoketh unto the league: "We Sayeth unto all, the Leafs of Maple shall falleth from divisional grace, returning to where they hence belong'th, and the meek shall inherit thy place above them".... In the name of the Hanson Brothers, Bobby Ore and Gordie Howe..... So let it be written, So let it be done...... 1 Quote
Flashsabre Posted 28 minutes ago Report Posted 28 minutes ago UPL playing well, Muel God Like. I feel like I crossed timelines in the multiverse at some point.😝 One of Quinn’s best games. Tage, Tuch and Doan are a load of a line. Tage needs to stay at centre. Sabres officially have quality depth with Rosen and eventually Östlund out of the lineup when Norris returns. 1 Quote

Honestly, I kind of did forget about Kulich at the moment I wrote that. He's not that vital. Regardless of his goal I still don't like Quinn and would give that spot to Kulich when he comes back. I prefer the 2 way game of Kozak to the pure offense of the third line they went with before. Alternatively just get rid of Krebs. He's pretty useless too. 49 minutes ago, Pimlach said: Not me.
