Zac Jones going down, does this mean Kesserling is good to go? or does it mean Bryson is good to go. 1 of them would have to be ready

We know it's Bryson. It's always about Bryson. 😇

Luukkonen as expected. He still needs a preseason. I would like to see what they have in Ellis before just waiving him back for St. Louis to claim. We checked him out of the library and never even opened the cover.

Maybe they are going to keep exposing Jones to waivers until someone claims him. Maybe there are too many players named Zac on the team for Ruff to keep track of.  I expect they are making room for Greenway.

Let him stay down there

Literally no use for UPL. It's time for moving on! Lyon is more than capable until you find a bonafide #1 that can steal games for you! If they just start him after the stint in Rochester... they are even more worthless than I thought!

He doesn’t have to go on waivers again unless he’s been on the NHL roster for 30 days or has played in 10 games.

UPL probably gets the next two home games tomorrow and Friday.

I need to see what Colton Ellis can do, as I do not trust UPL’s Hips

So we got this kid from St. Louis, he comes here thinking oh wow I'm going to get an opportunity to play and show my stuff and they don't play him a single game? They could have just kept Georgiev for that. And then they wonder why people don't want to come to Buffalo.

Alex Lyon will soon be 33 and the most games he has played in a pro-season is 47 when he was an AHL rookie.  The most in the NHL is 44 and he was decent that year with a .904 save % and a 21-18-5 record. He has never had an NHL season approaching UPL's 23-24 season, where UPL had 54 starts, and a .910 save %.  I have no idea if UPL will get things turned around,  but I'm not sure why some are so quick to give up on him.

If the Sabres don’t want to carry three goalies, then Ellis would go to waivers.  The 30 day rule is that Ellis can be immediately reclaimed by the Blues AND be sent directly to the AHL.

If the Sabres waive him after 30 days, anyone can put a claim in and put Ellis on their NHL roster.

The post I responded to was about Zac Jones.

Because in 22-23 with 33 GP he had a .892, and in 24-25 with 55 GP he had a .887.  For his career he's .898. He's also a miserable sod.

Lyon is .904 for his career and lights up the room.

What exactly is a single game going to show us?  Next to nothing meaningful.

Lyon has simply not given Ellis an opening as of yet. Can’t blame Lindy for staying with him. I’m sure Ellis will get one of the two Leafs games this weekend.
