Mattias Bogosian

A detriment to your roster

Bogosian was a picture of health once he moved on from Buffalo, wasn’t he?

Ive theorized in the past that Mattias is following Bogo’s path.

Do you know how much of that is injuries vs. being a 6th/7th defenseman? I can’t picture him being higher than that in a depth chart… but then again, there’s 2024-25.

Shrader’s thought is what I was thinking too.  Then again, I’ll have to stop saying he was faking it if he missed so many games to actual injury after he left Buffalo.

This is yet another fine outcome for Adams. This was the off-season to get out from under that contract; but as usual, Adams is slow to act and too dense to decide. Now we're stuck with a sub par-injury prone player that has essentially turned his back on the team and tucked his tail when we needed him last season.

Bravo, truly

Good point by Shrader, I’m not sure. Still I don’t think picture of health would ever be an apt descriptor of the man

I met him once at a club here, shook his hand (actually true).

He complained of a broken finger afterwords (not actually true)

my pet theory - based on total speculation - is this: samuelsson doesn’t actually like being a pro hockey player.

son of a very good nhl’er. he was big. moved reasonably well. got on the pro hockey development train.

it’s a life that chose him, not the life he chose.

he just seems so uncommitted. so equivocal.

Huh?

How is this in any way accurate?

Pretty straight forward really

Plays defense exactly how Power does, passively.

Well put, they watch things happen instead of making things happen.
Power has a bit of offensive skill, Mule has the skill and creativity of his pet name.

Which seems to be exactly how they're coached to do so.  (Not saying they necessarily would be more aggressive / better in their own end with actual coaching; but when the coaching is good with just trying to passively take away passing lanes, guys that are predisposed to that style won't be incentivized to adjust.)

I had high hopes for a bounce back from him this season, too.

Man, early on, he just made so many plays that seemed so effortless and understated I though he was going to be a great one,… and then he got signed.

He’s young enough for me to still have hope for him.
