The Buffalo Sabres will hold their annual Development Camp at LECOM Harborcenter from Monday, June 30 through Thursday, July 3.

A collection of Sabres prospects will gather in Buffalo for workouts, practices and a scrimmage. All on-ice sessions are free and open to the public.

The full camp roster will be announced at a later date. It will include players selected in the 2025 NHL Draft, which takes place June 27 and 28 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles – with the Sabres operating from Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park.

The scary thing is, this would mean accountability occurred. I don’t think your quote is truly what will happen.

Worse (and likely more accurate):  "It's really important that you understand that I WILL still be here (for no necessarily explicable reason) when you end up here."

…because I’m running out of excuses for missing the playoffs, again.

…and if you even infer that you don’t want to be here, then I’ll find a way to trade you for younger and cheaper assets.  It’s called purgatory kids.  Look it up.

Gave you the "laugh" but just as easliy could've run with the "cry."

Wow, they can only put together 1 more F line using F's than they could using G's.

Wonder if any of the G's skate out for kicks.  (No, not really, but it would be fun to see.)

They did the same thing last season with a shrunken dev camp roster and no "veterans". On the one hand, more practice activity and game time for the rookies. On the other hand, no ability to do a realistic scrimmage, no seeing Helenius/Wahlberg and getting them a little extra communication with the franchise leadership and some of their future Amerks teammates, or to set the expectation and intensity level for the newbies. No Strbak?    Like last year, it feels very EEE compared to larger dev camps of years past.

Looks like if you're playing pro, you can stay home.

Leinonen and Ratzlaff the only players there under contract. And the goalie group is the most interesting, when you throw in the two new kids and Leenders.

Helenius, Östlund, Wahlberg, Neuchev, Kulich and Benson are all guys who might have been there under other circumstances, but there's no need.

Still, it's not going to take long to fire up the worry machine over the fact the Sbres have only picked 2 forwards of note (Helenius Zeimer) in the past two drafts.

Most interesting absence: Maxim Strbak

It'd be the first thing I'd inquire about as a reporter. If Adams has a 5-word response about it (i.e., "at a family wedding..." or whatnot), then cool. If Adams can't help himself and rambles for 90 seconds about it without saying anything, there'd be much to read between the lines there.

The sentiment of the tweet is fine, but the execution is a failure. The photo on the right is the first practice. The poster needs to wait until 7/3 and take the photo. It will still be a stark contrast because it'll be in Harborcenter and about half the players. But it will at least be an apples to apples comparison.

Aren't NCAA players only allowed to accept one paid trip to the NHL team that holds their rights, or did that change with the NCAA's NIL changes?

If that is still a thing, would expect him here at the prospects tournament which will be more valuable to see how he stacks up against other nearly / early pro players than seeing how he stacks up against kids barely 18.

The NCAA kids don't participate in the prospects tournament because school is already in session.

You’ve got his act down pat.

Well, then, as Emily Lutella used to say, "nevermind."
