Some people really need to just go take a walk and get some fresh air. Bonsigniore was a Rochester kid from the Jr. Amerks. I was playing beer league at Lakeshore Arena when he was there. Quote

Listening to him talk about the Utah trade its clear he asked for what he wanted and that's it. There's 0, zilch, nada, killer instinct in Adams. He's a middle aged dad playing GM in a mediocre straight to streaming movie. 1 2 Quote
Taro T Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago Interesting. Spoke with Thompson before making the trade. Would've figured he'd've spoken with Dahlin prior to it. Spoke to both? And Tuch too presumably? Can you actually bring Byram back after saying explicitly that you'd move him "if the right trade comes along." How would that not be messing up the room if he comes back? Even though you said you'd love to keep him (or something to that effect) you've explicitly said you are good with trading him. Aka, you want him, but not really. Especially when a couple minutes later you still say we need to get better defensively. (Which is actually demonstrably true; but to say it 3 mintues after you've explicitly said you are open to trading him, how do you bring him back and not have it be disruptive?) Quinn is a very honest player. Read: Quinn realizes just like everybody else that he was awful last year. 1 Quote

bunomatic Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago (edited) Its hard to get excited with any of this. I want to win now damn it. I don’t hate the pick but how does this help us now ? Not even a little bit. Kevin doesn’t know how to improve the team now nor does he know how to improve the team 4 years from now when this kid may play. Its a shell game and he’s in over his head. I can’t even stand to listen to him. Do something tangible that makes this team cook this season. Use the supposed brains in the er um ‘war room’ and give us something. Two or less Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago The best comparison ive seen about this kid is Dougie Hamilton. I think next season will be very telling about what kind of player he is. First year he didnt know english and coming from euro game to a NA game is a huge adjustment. He needs to use his body more, he even said himself during the combine few weeks ago that he needed to be more physical and aggressive. 1 1 Quote

Some people really need to just go take a walk and get some fresh air. He's had a ton of injuries, but if he'd been healthy, Gudbranson would already be over 1000 games played and typically 2nd pair & nearly all D-zone starts -- though admittedly, mostly on poor teams. Gudbranson is not a PP guy (and Mrtka won't get PP time until Dahlin/Power are off the roster, which if they do finally make the playoffs and become good, neither is going anywhere). He's had a solid career as a defensive d-man, not a bust. I hope this is Mrtka's floor. Quote

Also, if you're going to talk JJP, nobody at the presser linking JJP refusing to stay with the fact that that goes against the entire ethos of Adams plan here is cowardly and and borderline unforgivable. It's the elephant in the room. Quote
