Coaching staff is under contract, whoopty f***ing doo, everyone that gets fired in the league is under contract dipstick. Do better.

I guarantee Pegula isn’t going to pay anyone else to not work for the Sabres.

I wonder if in some way Adams is trying to be like Bill Belichick with not giving straight answers to the media.  Belichick came off smart.  Adams is coming off like an idiot.

Bellicheat came off as smart because he won the division about 15 times out of 18 and added a handful of SB trophies when he was hooked up w/ Brady.

He ALWAYS came across as a jackhole in his interviews.

Uh, you’re just realizing now that Adams is an idiot?

Jarmo isn’t even moving to Buffalo to work. Not that I’m surprised or blame him much, but anybody thinking he is going to change the franchise’s fortunes is going to be sorely disappointed.

When asked what excited him about Jarmo, Adams answered that Jarmo wants to work and is a good person.

He wants to work.  Not that he brings new ideas to the table, or that he has key connections to other organizations, or that he brings a wealth of knowledge to scouting other NHL players or prospects.

He wants to work. Basically the same thing you would say about an 18 year old working at a McDonalds to make money to buy an Xbox.

Who has any confidence that Adams has any idea how to make use of Jarmo on the staff?

I don’t like Adams as a GM, he seems like a nice guy. If you listen to him, he gives you any answer you’d need.

They’re not buying out Samuelson

Tuch is a priority

Peterka or his Agent did ask to be traded. If Peterka didn’t ask, he would say he didn’t. If he did he couldn’t say he did as he’d lose leverage on a trade and he couldn’t say he didn’t as he’d be lying and the agent would call him out on it

Jarmo and Karmanos, the Sabres two most experienced hockey personnel are both working remotely.  That tells you everything you need to know about the state of this franchise and how “all in” they really are.

"Open to [moving the pick] more than maybe I've been in past years," Adams said. "I think we had to really kind of try to build this organization up the appropriate way. And I do believe in building through the draft and developing players and making sure you have depth in your organization, which I think we've done a really solid job of. …"

"But I don't think you want to go into it saying, 'Hey, I'm just moving this pick, no matter what.' These are valuable picks, but you're open to everything. And trust me, the League knows that I'm absolutely open to moving [No. 9] if it's the right deal for us."

Kevyn Adams

This is infuriating

He believes he’s done the necessary job, the justification is all over this.

Dude openly admits he didn't try to improve the team for years because "build through drafts"

He’s saying they had to do it this way. He’s literally saying “what could kevyn adams have even done?” It doesn’t matter how many years it takes to make the playoffs, 6, 10, 20..whenever the time comes, if it comes, *that’ll* be how long it “had” to take

he has a blank cheque to destroy the team I grew up loving

Belicheat won Super Bowls, Adams has won ……nothing as a GM.

Except the continued support and favor of his boss. All they are is a typical failson-type setup franchise so the owner has a toy. That's not new or different.

At least with the Pittsburgh Pirates there's no confusion; they're just there to collect the revenue sharing. The Pegula-Adams dyad whines that winning is hard because Buffalo. It's pathetic in a game (sports ownership) where no one has sympathy for you; they're glad you stink. But, not too bad, because they do want you to bring in some ticket sales.

No matter how people try to spin it the bottom line is this:

Pegula has stopped spending the necessary money on the Sabres and Adams will listen to everything he tells him and go out there and lie through his teeth about no financial constraints and take all the bullets for the failing of the team.  Adams has tried now to spin it as if there are no real failings but he’s not smart enough and no one is going to believe it anyway. He comes off as an incompetent boob but he will do all the owner’s bidding.

Lets face it they aren’t going to make the playoffs this season and yet will still justify shoving Seth Appert down our throats as the new head coach because Pegula is attracted to personalities like Rex Ryan, Lafontaine, Appert.

Bill B. always has a game face.  GMKA only has a clown face.  He jokes and laughs like this is a summer little league job.

Every assistant coach should have been let go. Totally unacceptable!! PK and PP were atrocious.

Honestly they should have cleaned house on everybody. If Terry wanted he could have kept Ruff on for nostalgia in an advisory role helping to hire the new people but there was no justification to keep anybody. There has been no part of this franchise that is performing well.

The “the coaching staff is under contract for this season” line said everything. Pegula isn’t spending more money.

Adams and the whole staff should have been canned at year’s end. Hire Jarmo, move Lindy upstairs.  DeBoer and Spott should have been hired the minute they were fired in Dallas.

My favorite part was when he said they have a plan in place and are executing it. Kind of comical he’s done not a single thing addressing the roster all off-season and got in front of a mic and said he’s executing on his plan
