Zamboni
Honestly I don’t wanna see anyone get hurt …. But nice to see some type of physical play.
Doohickie
Tage did a nice job on that rush: avoided the pressure, drew the penalty.
DarthEbriate
If Chabot is out, Ottawa needs to find another 25 minutes to spread across their D. Oh Tager.

Doohickie
Thompson had the whole net and missed. Ugh. He's gotta score now.
Carmel Corn
Wide open net for Tage on that one-timer...maybe he had more time than he realized.
Taro T
Should be 2-0 right now.

The Otters did not have control of the puck. Rule 8.1 “When a player is injured so that he cannot continue play or go to his bench, the play shall not be stopped until the injured player’s team has secured control of the puck. … In the case where it is obvious that a player has sustained a serious injury, the Referee and/or Linesman may stop the play immediately.”

The goalie had made the save; official probably lost sight of it and thought the goalie had it. ***** happens. The Sabres are playing a pretty direct game. Secure the blue line, get the puck on goal. That will pay off eventually.

The Otters hadn't secured control of the puck. The save didn't count as control & just swiping the stick at the puck shouldn't have been enough. There wasn't reason to believe the Otter was "seriously" injured and there was no concern at all he'd suffer further injury. That play should've continued. Guess the crowd got to the ref. 😉

It would have been justified right away. But when the player lifted his head up, the ref clearly decided to wait until the Senators secured control. He missed that call. Good to see that, once again, Granato can't be bothered to be bothered when his team gets screwed. 1
