Pre-draft expectations haunt most players. They are who they are and not a scouting report. He is a good 3rd or 4th line player. His time with Buffalo is fleeting. I don't agree. girgensons is a good 3rd line player, McCormick is a good 4th line player. Stafford possesses neither of their skill set. A team like the Pens could sign him to 3rd line money and use him in the top six. That was a stupid penalty by Stewart. Absolutely.
