Yes, I was a West Sider.  Going to Canada’s was common and easy.  No doubt the Sabres attendance, already mediocre, is going to take a hit.   The people that live close to the boarder on either side are the most affected and that is a big majority of Canadians overall.  
 

 

There are 500,000 Canadians that live within 45 minutes of downtown Buffalo and the Sabres count on these fans. Unlike the Bills who mostly play weekends, Sabres games are midweek and you need people close by to attend. Losing Canadians fans is another big hit.

We live about 1/4 mile from the River here in Niagara county, take a walk down the street and we can see Canada.  We really don't even think of crossing the border anymore.  Maybe it wouldn't be so bad? I don't know, just I don't feel like dealing with any potential aggrevation....so until things clear up quite a bit, we probably won't be going to toronto/the falls/NOTL anytime soon.

I went to Vancouver and Victoria and then came back to Seattle.  Next I will go from Buffalo to NOTL and then back the week after next.  I’m living my life.  I’m not afraid of crossing in either direction.  I have nothing to hide and committed no crimes.  I have not heard of one incident from my family and friends about crossing from WNY.  I’m sure someone will have a one-off story but I’m not intimidated.

Tedeschi Trucks Band this Friday Aug 1st and Saturday Aug 2nd at Red Rocks. One of my favorite weekends of the year.

   I think tribute bands still qualify as a 'concert', right?  Came across this band (Start Making Sense) while attending the OC Fair in Costa Mesa last weekend. I love the Talking Heads, but obviously, they never tour, so it seemed like a great alternative.  They were fantastic.

  I know David Byrne is touring in 2025, but he is playing the Dolby Theatre out here in Hollywood, which has tickets running ~ $600 for Orchestra and $200 for Mezzanine.  And with that, you are probably only going to get 8 or 9 Talking Head songs in the set list.  These cats are from Pennsylvania and do a bunch of shows near Buffalo.  I think one is in Rochester around Thanksgiving.  For $25.00, it's well worth the cost of a ticket.
