I am not sure Getzlaf is an answer, but definetly an upggrade. But other top talent have to include McNabb the way he is developing and Kassian. There are others possibly, but I would easily give up Roy Stafford and a prospect for Getzlaf in a heartbeat. Isn't that meant to be a sign of something? Myers, Adam, Foligno, Gragnani Getzlaf, Lydman Miller, Stafford, Sekera, Kaleta, 2nd Iginla Kiprusoff, Moss Boyes/waivers Championship Which championship... the Calder Cup? Idk if you know someone or are just the worlds best tweeter/googler but it saves me a lot of time and helps in keeping up with whats going on by reading your posts. What would it take to get him? nfreedman thinks it would be Vanek or Myers to start. LGR thinks it could take Roy with the proper incentives. If I were GM I would offer Miller, Adam, and Roy + my 2nd rounder for Getzlaf & Hiller. Throw in Stafford too if that would make it happen. I would NOT trade McNabb (I see him as another Pronger) or Myers if I could help it. Trading Vanek would be a bad move because you're just trading one scorer for another and scoring is where we need help. LGR is right when he says that the Ducks would want a center back and we would need a goalie back if Miller was dealt. And since Miller's wife lives there, he wouldn't include Anaheim in his 8 Cities Not To Be Traded To List. HOWEVER, having said all this, you'd have to compete against 20+ other teams in the league who would also like Getzlaf. I doubt if we would have the highest offer.
