    Fasching played on JT Compher's line on the U18 team. When they played an exhibition game against Alabama-Huntsville, they connected for four of U18's goals. Makes this deal even better.

    This is the kind of trade I expect from a GM with Tim Murray's strengths. He recognizes we have depth in defensive prospects and 2nd+ round draft picks, and he acquires prospects that he believes are great and help address our prospects depth needs at forward. I hope that these are guys he's watched and have a great upside, and upon a very quick examination, they are. I'd be curious to know which 2nd round picks. Hopefully not ours.

    I can't remember what year it was, but there were trades being announced for hours after the deadline actually occurred, because there were so many last-second deals executed that the league couldn't process them all in time. I feel like that's where we're headed.

    Also, apparently Kesler refused to waive his NTC to go to the Rangers. So guess which other teams he wouldn't waive for.

    TSN says the price is pretty high for Kesler: We don't have 1. Ennis? Send back Hodgson? We don't want to give up 2. Girgensens? Risto? Zadorov? That hurts the tank. We don't want to give up 3. That hurts the tank.

    Don't stall the tank! We've likely got four picks in the first two rounds of 2014, and likely five picks in the first two rounds of 2015. We've still got eight UFAs on the roster, and potentially three of them could bring back picks in the first two rounds. Those eight guys are wasted/gone if we don't sign them or trade them, and there's debatable reasons not to sign each and every one of them. These are important assets to convert.

    We definitely would want Charlie Coyle, but MIN's price for him is very likely very high. Halak's only a piece in a trade like that.

[encouraging yelling, not whining voice there] Players I'd like to see gone (not because I don't like them, necessarily): Halak, Moulson, Stewart, Tallinder, Stafford Players I wouldn't mind seeing go in a completely redonkulous trade: Ehrhoff, Weber, McBain Players that are Mongos (only pawn in game of life): McCormick, Konopka, Ellis, Sulzer

    This may be true, but I'd rather our guys make the decision on who we get, not the other teams. There's not many that wouldn't agree with you.

    No, ###### those guys. Even reporters close to this situation don't know what went on. So pretty much everything is ######, especially any opinion or analysis by those dickheads. I'm not crying about PLF leaving, but I'd like to know the real story. However, it's not one that 'll be told soon, so ###### anyone in the national media that tries to tell it, make sense of it, or proselytize about it.
