We've been here for 10 years, I have no reason to believe next year will be any different. They're not one, two or three players away from making a significant move up the standings. It'll take probably 6-7 skaters, 2 goalies, and a head coach before they're competitive again... that's not going to happen in one off-season.

realistically... Dahlin, Power, Tuch, Thompson, TBD, TBD TBD may include guys like Quinn, Mittlestadt, Krebs, Peterka, or a future pick... maybe even a UPL, Levi or Portilllo hopefully.

IMO it wasn't an effort issue. They simply had no answer for the Sens defensive system. They made zero adjustments to it, it was maddening to watch.

Ottawa is aggressively challenging zone entries on the PK. The solution is to get the weak side forward entering the zone with speed while the puck carrier rims it in.

I thought Tomkins played great today for Canada, he's in his prime and having a hell of season overseas. He wasn't the reason they lost.
