I believe this was the fist game in NHL history where 2 defensemen drafted number 1 OA played together on the same team. Prove me wrong 🙂 -
Updated Sabres Prospect Pool 2021 and beyond

If he could stay healthy he'd be higher. The best ability is availability. -
Things could still change this summer if Michigan faces sanctions or what not.

They got exposed in the recent stretch of tough opponents. It's good tho, we know their ceilings and can move forward. He's played a ton of hockey this year on 47 different continents nonetheless. He's gonna look a bit worn out, my expectations for this season are low.

Fitz and Bryson will be a disaster in their own end. I'd have gone with.... Samuelsson - Dahlin Power - Pysyk Jokiharju - Bryson
-
He was probably taking undergrad classes while playing in the ushell and fast tracked his business school classes over the past few summers. You'd be surprised what schools will do to accommodate their star athletes.

What I like about playing a bunch of top teams in a row here is that it helps to separate the wheat from the chaff.... who can rise to the challenge? Who is simply surviving out there? Borderline NHL talent will struggle and Bryson has struggled, whereas a guy like Samuelsson has stepped up his game. That said he's not the only one.

Lol he's not going to move the needle on any trade.

Fitzgerald is an AHL defenseman. Miller is an upgrade. Tokarski is an AHL goaltender. Downgrade. -

FWIW I'm hearing Portillo will not be returning to Michigan. -

Denver was was the better team and deserved to win. -
From my own experience... guys that sign early are typically after the paycheck (or they're bona-fide superstars), whereas guys who wait are more interested in personal development... not just hockey, but there's a social angle as well to the college experience vs the responsibilities associated with being a pro (more business like, sleep schedules, eating right, mundane routines, etc..).

I can confidently say that Levi is not afraid of competition. In fact, he thrives on it. He's most likely irked at the way the season ended and wants to have one more go around with his buddies. The NHL will always be there for him, no need to rush. -

Best case scenario IMO. -

Beat case scenario both Portillo and Levi are probably 2-3 years away from establishing themselves in the NHL... if they make it that far. Goaltenders are difficult to forecast. Goalies that set records in junior or NCAA and didn't make it to the NHL are a dime a dozen. That said, if I'm KA, I'm still looking at goalies in the draft.
