  1. Are the players supposed to voluntarily bench or scratch themselves? "A body of men holding themselves accountable to nobody ought not to be trusted by anybody" - Thomas Paine
  2. Keep him, he's cheap young and will continue to grow. Trading him won't move the needle.
  3. I vote NO on Ruff. My short list... Berube Todd Nelson Karl Taylor D. Sutter Vigneault McLellan
  4. Sounds like Kevyn's GM balls dropped today. Good to see, but now he has to walk the walk. Will he? Or will he continue to bury his head in the sand when things go sideways?
  5. The standard is set too low, there's no accountability, no sense of urgency anywhere in the organization. You hear it from all the players who have left, other teams practice harder pay closer attention to detail, the bar is just set much much higher. Part of that problem is youth, but it's largely an organizationally wide problem.
  6. 6 months too late Kevyn. DG was a dead man walking in Nov/Dec, you could hear it in his pressers, he knew what was at stake. Edmonton moved quickly before their season imploded, Buffalo put their head in the sand. There has to be a higher standard and higher sense of urgency top down in this organization for things to change.
  7. I still believe in Adams plan wrt drafting and development.... but they need a better coaching staff.
  8. Utah?! Whats gonna happen to the Grizzlies? Will Tuscon still have a team? So much to sort out, so little time. Bettman painted himself into a corner on this one, smh.
  9. Dexterity hand should be at the top of the stick as that's where you roll your wrist when stick-handling... bottom hand should be loose letting the stick rotate.
  10. but he's too soft...
  11. Slow out of the gate? Shocking. There's a saying in Tennessee....
  12. Can Benson go to Roch after the season? I'm guessing he could only got back to his junior team because of his age.
  13. I choose long term. He's a future 40g scorer, lock him up now or pay much much more (or not be able to sign him) later.
  14. He's going to be great. That said, and I've been saying this since training camp, he would've been better off with another year or two of juniors.
  15. The game isn't played that way anymore (I wish it was!). Karlsson, Makar, Q. Hughes.... do they strike fear in anybody? You put someone like Pronger or Stevens in todays game, where they can't clutch and grab, and guys will skate right around them like they're standing still.
  16. 5 more wins out of 82 games is the difference between making the playoffs and a 13th year of disappointment. I can think of atleast a dozen games where they underpformed as a team, top to bottom, sleepwalking through the first period. Going 0-2 against the Ducks. Trading Owen Power or any other player/group of players won't fix that. A new coaching staff could.
  17. Dahlin has played 41% of even strength minutes and is a -7, a team worst -11.53 trpm. Power has played 35% of even strength minutes and is a +3, -0.85 trpm. Power is not the problem. Cozens, Thompson and Dahlin are bottom 3 in trpm. The fact those 3 get outscored at even strength and are part of an anemic power play is the problem.
  18. imho, one of the worst takes I've ever seen on this forum
  19. The two choices are not mutually exclusive. Get the skill players to play tougher and the tough guys to play with a bit more skill, and now you've got something.
  20. Denial isn't just a river in Egypt.
