Wasn't expecting much vs NJ considering they had 10 days off and only played at best AHL caliber talent up to that point. No more excuses. Need a better effort up and down the lineup. I'm OK with mistakes, but no excuse for lack of effort. Lindy was brought in to hold these guys accountable. Need to see something Thur in front of the home crowd.

The most important thing for Levi is playing time He's better off as 1AAA in Rochester than 1b or 2 in Buffalo at this point in his career.

Shoulda sent Levi down, smh.

The Sabes look slow because they're thinking too much, hesitant... you can see it they're not sure of the decisions they're making. The intent to play how Lindy wants them to play is there, but they're second guessing themselves. Can't play hockey that way, it's instinctual. Ill give them a month or so to show improvement... but it's gonna be tough to watch for a bit here.

Stop it. It's gonna take about 20-25 games before we know who this team is. Will take time to work out the bad habits, there's no quick fix, it takes time.

impreseed with NJ. they're on top of every puck seems like they have 7 guys on the ice, no room out there.. players away from the puck buzzing around high pressure team finishing checks, they look gooood. Buffalo just looks out matched in every aspect.

My concern coming in to this game was the level of competition they've faced so far... AHL level squads and a german league team... with a long layoff before game one. Didn't see the game but not surprised they came out flat.

Will be interesting to see who leads the Amerks in points this season. I'd imagine Kulich is sent down after European Vacation, fun year for Amerks loyalists.

He might wear the "C" but he's definitely not the alpha dog in that locker room. Who might that be? Probably not on the roster yet... hence 4 alternate captains... with Lindy filling the Alpha role for now.

I like him as a player, but feel he'll be a key piece in a future trade with his home town team, Anaheim... similar to Savoie being moved to Edmonton. The emergence of Novikov and Komarov will make him expendable.

...and only 4 days to re-acclimate before their home opener on the 10th. Make it make sense!

12 days in Europe for 2 back-to-back games? I understand the need to acclimate, but 12 days? They're missing out on valuable pre-season games with a new coaching staff. 6 days is probably more than enough... and besides, the games are at 1p and 10a ET, what exactly are they acclimating to?
