  1. I believe Adams fully understands the predicament in net, however he's sticking to his "want to be here" requirement. Buffalo is well known across the league as goaltender purgatory. The team gives up too many shots and scoring chances. For that reason established veteran goaltenders are avoiding Buffalo like the plague, it's career suicide. The solution most likely needs to come from within. The team needs to improve their defensive play and continue to develop their own goaltenders. That said, it would be great if a veteran waived their no-trade believing they could be the missing piece to end the longest playoff drought in pro sports, but that hasn't happened.
  2. It's all bunk. You're telling me these supremely advanced beings can build anti-gravity craft, travel through wormholes or from other dimensions, but they crash in our atmosphere? This kinda stuff is gaining traction now for two reasons. 1. The rise of social media which promotes this type of garbage to keep the population at large distracted. 2. At no point in our history has the minority had a larger voice than they do now. That said are there skunk works type military programs testing advanced tech? Of course. In this day and age where everyone has a high res recording device in their pocket, there is still no verifiable proof.
  3. With a month remaining in the season I tried to figure out how many more points the Sabres would have with simply league average goaltending on home ice....
  4. 5. The defense could be better, but both Comrie and UPL ranked bottom 10 on home ice for goals saved above expected.... that's on the tendy's.
  6. They will both have great careers, but if we're talking complete defenseman I'd lean Power.
  7. He's setting this franchise up for long term success. They're very close to making the playoffs, it's gonna come down to health and goaltending as they just don't have the scoring depth yet but it's coming.
  8. eliminate instigator penalty half-shields optional remove the trapezoid no penalty on faceoff for touching puck w hand 2-on-2 after 3-on-3 OT, eliminate shootout 3/2/1 point system play the puck off netting eliminate coaches challenges 1-8 confernce playoff seeding season starts in Septemeber, ends in April (eliminate all-star game and bye weeks) eliminate draft lottery system drafted players unsigned after college career are returned to the draft contraction. dissolve the Coyotes, Panthers, Hurricanes, Ducks, Stars and Blue Jackets realignment with a great lakes divison of Tor, Buf, Chi, Det, Mtl and Ott all teams play eachother 4 times chips in pucks to auto detect goals eliminate the blue lines, use center red for offsides every 4 icings is a minor penalty
  9. you joke, but my friend who played with him and Olofsson Frolunda........
  10. Studies show that with league average goaltending on home ice, the Sabres make the playoffs last season.
  11. Benson is one of the fiercest puck hounds I've ever seen as a prospect. I'm more excited about his ability to create turnovers than enything else he can do offensively. Just a very unique skill set.
  12. He looked great at Worlds, time to take that next step.
  13. The way I see it, he ultimately ends up in Toronto, LA, NYR, NYI, BOS, COL, CHI, DET, TBL, FLA, PIT, PHI, BUF, MTL, OTT, SEA, HOU, DAL, ARI, CAR, STL or ANA.... just a hunch tho.
  14. A close friend of mine, who still plays for Frolunda, is a former teammate of his and they talk pretty regular. VO wants out, which is no secret. That said, KA doesn't just give guys away, so it wouldn't surprise me if he's still around come training camp.
  15. This 100%. He's a top 10 scoring center (8th among centers last season) but only a top 15-20 all-around center.
  16. Out of 75 centers who took at least 800 faceoffs last season, Tage ranked 74th in win percentage. That needs to improve. For a guy his size with the amount of leverage he can create, he should be near that top of the list.
  17. If we're talking all-around game I'd put him top 15, just outside top 10.. my top 10 in no specific order McDavid Crosby Matthews Barkov MacKinnon Malkin Bergeron Draisaitl Aho Hughes ...I'd put Zibanejad in there as well, just above Tage.
  18. If it wasn't for Eichel he never woulda got a serious look from anyone.
  19. Love this signing. Now here's a guy who wants to be here, can fill a role and occasionally contribute on the scoresheet.
  20. Love this signing Now here's a guy with loads of playoff experience providing much needed veteran leadership on the back-end. Dahlin, Power, Samuelssom and Jokiharju will all benefit from his presence.
  21. The Sabre's were the first team in NHL history to ice two defensemen drafted #1 OA in Power and Dahlin.
  22. Have a night were they let each individual player decide which themed jersey they wear for warmies... better yet let them design their own for whatever cause they'd like bring awareness too.
