The Bills strive to improve and field a playoff team each and every year, but even the biggest die hard knows deep down that they are a dead cinch lock to be on the outside looking in on the playoffs each and every January. That is truly soul sucking and I know it's cost me a great deal of the passion I used to feel for the Bills. They are a hopeless franchise. The difference with the Sabres is that the tank (sucking) is being done with the purpose of coming out the other end with a stronger hockey team than they've ever had..... year in and year out. Is it guaranteed to work? Of course not, but it still allows for some hope for now.

ugggh I feel for you bio. Just how inexperienced are they? Are they able to at least prepare serial dilutions, make and pH buffers etc? I've been stuck with people before who can't even do those simple tasks, let alone begin to think about and plan a proper experiment. It sucks.. a lot.

I agree that you need some veterans sprinkled in to mentor the kids, just not enough veterans that they ruin our shot at elite talent in the 2015 draft. If we hadn't screwed up the tank last season and lost any hope of getting MacKinnon et al we'd likely be further along on the complete tank philosophy.

I'm not getting any younger, but another tank season is still a small price to pay for a decent shot at the next Crosby or Crosby-lite. After that I agree this team should get incrementally more fun to watch as they mature into a legit contender.

Which would put them exactly where they were for the last five or six seasons under DR. No thanks. No more smoke and mirrors roster building. Tank on.

There are going to be plenty of changes with the Sabres in the near future....players, coaches and management. Probably more change than we've ever seen in the history of this franchise. One thing that isn't changing is the owner. Pegula is what he is. Let it go.

The Blues are all in with Miller this year. If the Blues tank, whether it's Miller's fault or not, I don't believe they will attempt to re-sign him.

There's no moving on from the perspective of how well Miller and the Blues perform the rest of the way has a direct impact on the Sabres going forward. I don't have a problem with Blues GDT's.

Here's what I know: 1. The Sabres look bad. 2. PLF looks bad. 3. We will never know the whole story. 4. Our usual conspiracy theorists are having a field day as expected. I'm done with this story. Let's get back to tanking and trading.

I'm taking my five year old daughter to the daddy daughter dance tonight at her school. She hasn't stopped talking about it all week and is very excited to get all dressed up to go out tonight. That shapes up for a pretty fantastic Friday night.
