Indeed, with all the authentic mexican taco trucks and restaurants in these parts I learned pretty quickly that Mighty Taco just plain sucks.

Stafford must go at all costs, even if he becomes a perennial 30-40 goal scorer elsewhere I will not care. When it comes to NHL hockey these days there are only two things I pine for: A successful tank and Drew Stafford becoming an ex-Sabre.

I'm going to have a few people over to my man cave for the game and the weather looks good in Raleigh for an outdoor viewing. On the menu will be smoked beef brisket. I'm going to attempt a whole packer on a 12-14 hour overnight smoke. Beef brisket is one of the more difficult cuts to get right, and I've been disappointed with my past efforts on my weber smoker. However ever since I got a big green egg this summer my confidence has grown to the point where I'm going to give it a go again. Plus I promised my brother in law that I'd make him some brisket when he gave the egg to me. Go Broncos!

I know #analytics are a swear word to many here, but the 2013 hockey prospectus essay on the Sabres goes through the statistical discussion of Enroth vs. Miller save percentage and why it isn't valid to claim Enroth was/is equal or better than Miller mainly due to what a few here have already alluded to..sample size and regression to the mean. Im traveling and don't have my copy with me to provide more detail, but perhaps another advanced stat poster who has a copy and chime in.

Here's what we can expect next year: suck a little or suck a lot. In terms of entertainment value and hope of winning the Cup those two options are exactly the same to me. The only place that they differ is in the opportunity they give you to secure elite talent (it doesn't begin and end with McDavid either). One gives you very little chance, the other gets you in a legitimate conversation.

Sekera was always a popular whipping boy and undervalued here IMO. I told all my friends down here that the Canes got a solid top 4 guy when that trade was made, but they didn't believe me. They were just happy to have McBain gone and have a warm body in his place.

Agreed. A player like Crosby instantly gives this team a legit top line, whereas right now they don't even have a legit 2nd line. It leaves plenty of holes still left to fill, but fixes the most important one. I hear there may be a guy of Crosby's ilk coming out in the draft next year...what do you guys think about tanking next year to give us the best shot at grabbing him? :P
