  1. Look none of the Buffalo Sabres goalies are Dominik Hasek right now. Devon Levi wasn’t why the Sabres lost tonight. The Sabres aren’t mentally tough enough to close games consistently which is very disappointing. The Dylan Cozens turnover and not getting back in Overtime was atrocious. Again the Sabres having three goalies or ten goalies isn’t why the Sabres aren’t mentally tough enough to close out games consistently. Trading for some second rate backup goalie giving away our whole farm system isn’t making the Sabres a playoff team. The Sabres need to improve defensively and playing for 60 minutes which after two years I still can’t believe it’s a problem but here we are and it is a problem in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  2. Another terrible loss by the Buffalo Sabres. The Sabres losses are piling up. The Washington Capitals game was a winnable game tonight for the Sabres against an aging Capitals team very disappointing in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  3. No the Buffalo Sabres coaches get until the end of the season. If they fail to make the playoffs again than fire them at the end of the season in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  4. Good win by the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bills today. I didn’t think UPL played so well that he earned the next start. We are not talking about the Boston Bruins it’s the Chicago Blackhawks who were one of the worst teams in the NHL. The goal post saved the Buffalo Sabres and UPL tonight. UPL struggles with that little time period to play back to back games. I think Devon Levi will get the start against the Washington Capitals that is what I would do. Continue alternating goalies for a while. Don Edwards and Bob Sauve alternated so did Bob Sauve and Tom Barrasso. The Sabres can’t throw away points hoping UPL can play back to back he can’t right now maybe overtime. I personally trust UPL the least of the current three goalies that the Sabres have. UPL reminds me a lot of Gary Bromley when he was with the Buffalo Sabres for whatever reason he just couldn’t grab the number one goalie job from a ailing Roger Crozier and the Sabres had to bring Gerry Desjardins in from the Michigan Stags of the WHA until he got the eye injury than Don Edwards seized the opportunity. UPL couldn’t seize the opportunity last year like Don Edwards did. UPL the Sabres have spent a lot of development time in him and UPL is still shaky that’s doesn’t say number one goalie. I see UPL a lot like Gary Bromley had a good career as backup goalie in both the WHA and NHL. UPL’s big chance was last year for the Sabres he was supposed to be the number one and unfortunately he failed badly. That doesn’t go away with a few wins in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  5. Another lose by the Buffalo Sabres digging more and of a hole to get out of if they want to make the playoffs this season. I don’t really have anything more than that to say accept how truly sad that the Sabres players have no pride. The gap between the Boston Bruins and the Sabres is huge. The Bruins just outwork teams they play the Sabres refuse to do that on a consistent basis in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  6. The Boston Bruins are on another level compared to the Buffalo Sabres in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  7. That isn’t happening the Buffalo Sabres are carrying three goalies for the season. Devon Levi gets more experience at the NHL level with major league speed of the game. The AHL is water down today it basically college hockey with a longer schedule. Devon Levi needs to face NHL players to grow as a number one goalie. Than if the Sabres are out of playoff contention by the NHL trade deadline Eric Comrie will be potentially be traded to a playoff team wanting or needing a better backup goalie in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  8. When Patrick Kane is ready to play hopefully he signs with the Buffalo Sabres. The Sabres need talent and to overcome the stigma after Jack Eichel left and won a Stanley Cup. It didn’t make the Buffalo Sabres ownership come off great to free agents around the NHL as example Matt Murray refused to come to the Buffalo Sabres. Signing Patrick Kane would be a step in the right direction for NHL free agents to look at the Sabres organization again under Kevyn Adams direction in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  9. Oh yes send Benson down too? I can’t wait to see the same usual 3rd 4th line overpaid, lazy Buffalo Sabres players be losers and skate around in circles the same ones year after year where do I sign up for season tickets. Some Sabres fans never have a conversation about that why Sabres fans are feed up with the crap from this Sabres organization while the Boston Bruins win year after year owned by Buffalo’s own Jacobs family. Terry Pegula is a carpetbagger and a disgrace as a sports team owner. Don’t tell me the Buffalo Bills they suck now too again sell the teams Terry Pegula you bum. I have zero tolerance for none Buffalo playoff teams anymore after almost 50 seasons of no Super Bowls or Stanley Cups while everyone else wins but Buffalo. With that said and out of the way. If Buffalo Sabres coach Don Granato doesn’t make the playoffs this season and isn’t fired by this dysfunctional Sabres organization than just move the Sabres franchise out of Buffalo. I say that as a almost 50 year Sabres fan because there is absolutely no hope for the Sabres in Buffalo under Terry Pegula ownership. Buffalo would be better off applying for a expansion franchise in either the NHL or NBA or MLB if New York State is going to giveaway public money anyway look for a better ownership group that is interested in at least trying by making the necessary changes of upgrading the talent not the same crappy players filling out the bottom six of the Sabres roster stealing money by there yearly lazy play. The Sabres ownership don’t deserve public money if they aren’t interested in improving the Sabres roster. I have seen enough of lazy overpaid untalented third and fourth line players the same ones year after year stealing Sabres fans money with a thousand excuses why they can’t skate for less than 10 minutes a game in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  10. It doesn’t matter if Patrick Kane is the same player or not he has multiple Stanley Cup rings. The Buffalo Sabres have young nobodies fool players right now that haven’t even made the NHL playoffs. It doesn’t matter that Rasmus Dahlin is this or that in the future and makes $11 million dollars a year he has won nothing in the NHL right now. Do Buffalo Sabres fans understand that? Tim Horton was old 41 years old when Punch Imlach offered him a expensive sports car on top of his salary to keep playing in the NHL instead of retiring running his Donuts shop in Hamilton and Tim Horton wasn’t what he once was. But he taught the young Buffalo Sabres at the time to be men and accountability on the ice every night. My goodness Tim Horton at 41 years old would clean most of these current young players clock. Tim Horton lost a step at 41 years old but he was the best angles defenseman I ever saw on film and he was as strong as a bull it looked like the forward would get around him and Horton would angle you towards the outside and wham into the boards at the old Buffalo Memorial Auditorium. Gordie Howe and Bobby Hull was also like that a very heavy players to play against none of these fool Sabres could play with those three back in the day there not smart enough hockey smarts wise or tough enough. When you play at a high level in your 40’s that is greatness think Tom Brady if you are young and never saw Horton, Howe or Hull play they were in that level at a old age they were great. These fool Sabres players are in there 20’s and they are exhausted unable to consistently play three periods for more than a week god help and save us the Sabres that someday these fools will get hockey smarts. Too many Sabres fans are in a video game fantasy world analytics world over valuing the Sabres players with their young label. Well eventually they became old prospects fast turning to NHL busts just remember that when one uses the the Sabres are young card to explain away forever losing for years. The Buffalo Sabres need veteran leadership, hockey smarts with actual Stanley Cup rings that can stand up and say I have been there this is what it takes. My goodness other than Sabres GM Kevyn Adams who has a Stanley Cup ring with the Carolina Hurricanes we have nothing. Sabres coach Don Granato is a minor league coach that never won a Stanley Cup. The Sabres need to do whatever it takes to get Patrick Kane signed. Plus signing Patrick Kane says that the Buffalo Sabres are serious about winning to future NHL free agents. The Sabres are a nobody franchise right now in the eyes of the rest of the NHL players. I am a huge Buffalo Sabres fan that lives in reality the Sabres are a nobody franchise right now but the Sabres organization can change that get Patrick Kane signed in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  11. Again Buffalo Sabres fans are showing their young age whining about Devon Levi being run into the ground. Please Don Edwards Devon Levi age and size played 72 games. This whole discussion about babying Devon Levi with few games and potentially Rochester is ridiculous. Devon Levi is going to either be the man in the Sabres net or the Sabres will find someone else. The Sabres are ready to win now not 5 years from now when the Sabres forwards are 30 plus years old heading towards the down side of their careers. The Sabres aren’t waiting 3 years on Devon Levi. How did waiting on UPL turn out he still sucks but he sucks at a older age. If Devon Levi doesn’t get it by next season there is a good possibility both Don Granato and Kevyn Adams are no longer employed by the Buffalo Sabres. If that was to potentially happen the people championing Devon Levi now aren’t here. Devon Levi could then be potentially trade if there is a totally new Sabres regime here. My goodness wake up Sabres fans we don’t have years to wait. Terry Pegula could sell this Sabres team when the lease is up if he doesn’t get public funding for the Key Bank Center? The Sabres potentially may not even be in Buffalo if they don’t get the New York State upgrades? The Sabres are a money pit and there is no way Terry Pegula is spending $500 million or more to renovate Key Bank Center with all his own money. The Buffalo Sabres are in a win now in their development so Terry Pegula is in a better position when the Sabres lease is up to get public money. Devon Levi better get his act together fast toughen up or the Sabres will find someone else to play goal. How is Robin Lehner and Andre-Marc Fleury doing in Vegas? Oh that is right Vegas Golden Knights moved on and won a Stanley Cup with Adin Hill in the goal. The Sabres better toughen up or they are never winning anything like a Stanley Cup. If a Sabres player is that tired that young go to the doctor something must be wrong with them seriously. Maybe the NHL and professional sports isn’t for that individual. The NHL and professional sports in general are played by tough people. Do young Buffalo Sabres fans even understand those retired Sabres numbers in the rafters where the very best of the Buffalo Sabres. They were tough players mentally and physically which is why they were great. You don’t think Rick Jeanneret wasn’t tired at 79 years old doing play by play? Yet Rick Jeanneret never complained. I don’t want to hear how tired a 21 year old Sabres is. Gordie Howe was a NHL All Star with the Hartford Whalers at 52 years old get going young Sabres players. The Vegas Golden Knights won a Stanley Cup in 6 years from expansion. The Buffalo Sabres went to a Stanley Cup final after 5 years from expansion. Enough with the babying the Sabres players. Don Granato should be fired for that alone what a bum in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  12. Look Terry Pegula is a bad owner because he makes poor decisions for both the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bills when it comes to economic growth. The Buffalo Bills will never be up there with value compared to the other NFL teams building your stadium across the street from the stadium location mistake of 50 years ago does that. Terry Pegula has no one to blame but himself for not using his power to force New York State to come up with the money for a downtown Buffalo Bills stadium like Ford Field in Detroit. As for the Buffalo Sabres Terry Pegula screwed that up tanking and under estimating the damage tanking does to a declining rust belt city market that made very bad economic decisions for 50 plus years. In a NHL that was growing to the Sun Belt and West Coast making the Sabres further down the list of free agents wanting to come to Buffalo. Add the tank the Sabres sucking for over a decade no free agents of any quality wants to play here. The Sabres suck so bad our own Patrick Kane doesn’t want to play here with Kevyn Adams most likely crawling around on his knees to try to convince him to sign with Buffalo. The Sabres franchise is a mess and without the major arena renovations needed the Sabres will be sold out of town at some point. If the renovations don’t happen from New York State. Some Buffalo fans need to wake up the Buffalo Bisons are potentially moving if they don’t get the New York State renovations. Our Sahlen’s Field infrastructure is old and our area is very behind the times with other baseball parks. Bob Rich JR. regardless of how much money he has has no say on this. If he can’t get the renovations when the Toronto Blue Jays 10 year PDC is up MLB will force Bob Rich to take a buyout of his triple a franchise. Also keep in mind Bob Rich JR. is in his 80’s now so there is that too. When the MLB took over the MILB it forces cities to upgrade their stadiums to keep them current or the Bisons will be moved to a city growing only to happy to take one of only 30 triple a franchises. Buffalo fans might say no way look at Fresno Grizzles they went from triple a to downgraded to single a because MLB said so they weren’t compliant to MLB and the Fresno owner took the triple a buy out. No way would single a baseball work in Buffalo after having triple a baseball. If the Bisons potentially move they are never coming back. Some Buffalo fans needs to wake up we aren’t a big one in Buffalo like Los Angeles or Chicago or New York City. With our poor leadership I could see Oakland potentially in Buffalo sports future because we have some naive people here. There is a reason why some people worship Terry Pegula naive people that heart is in the right place. But unfortunately are too trusting of the poor leadership in power for 50 plus years and counting making poor economic decisions for Buffalo. I like Buffalo, Western New York it’s been my home my whole life but I am old not the future. I am telling it like it is. Buffalo fans have to decide do you want to be Oakland losing three teams in a decade or do we smarten up make better economic decisions and keep up with the stadium and arena times. This isn’t about Terry Pegula he isn’t the future he is a old man older than me. Key Bank Center is too far gone it needs to be totally replaced or completely gutted like MSG or the Seattle Kraken renovated arena. The whole seating bowl needs to be removed and replaced slopped steeper for better viewing and the 300 level needs to be like the old Buffalo Memorial Auditorium Orange seating. So you can see the rest of the seating sections below so you don’t feel so isolated as a Buffalo fan in the 300 level. You are like alone in the 300’s it’s a bad fan viewing experience especially for college basketball it is awful. The Buffalo Memorial Auditorium was better designed for viewing games no matter what the sport. Local Big 4 college basketball paid the price when it moved to then Marine Midland Arena now Key Bank Center and Buffalo college basketball fans realized the viewing experience wasn’t the Buffalo Memorial Auditorium. Now it’s happening to the Buffalo Sabres the view at home in front of the television is better and cheaper. Same with the Buffalo Bisons $50 stream with MLB television gets you all 150 Buffalo Bisons games home and away. All our Buffalo arena and stadiums need major upgrades or Buffalo potentially risks losing all of our teams. If Buffalo wants to be the bedroom sports community of New York City keep it up believing our stadium and arenas are fine? They aren’t fine they are aging with little done to them for 30 plus years. UB Stadium needs major overhaul and renovations for more than $380 million dollars if we tell it like it is with UB Bulls football our stadium should look like Snapdragon Stadium a top level FBS Group of 5 stadium and UB Football is FBS Group of 5 team in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  13. Good win for the Buffalo Sabres tonight over the Toronto Maple Leafs onto the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday night in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  14. It never does because for whatever reason Don Granato has won the majority of Buffalo Sabres fans over even though he was on Ralph Krueger staff. And hasn’t accomplished anything as Sabres head coach. Ted Nolan was like that too but at least Ted Nolan accomplished a little bit more. I don’t get the it’s never Don Granato fault but Ken Dorsey of the Buffalo Bills has accomplished way more as a assistant coach than Don Granato but Buffalo Bills fans want Ken Dorsey fired. It’s a mystery to me but unfortunately many of our Buffalo fans fall in love with the wrong coaches and players it’s one of the many reasons why Buffalo Sabres doesn’t win anything. The Buffalo Sabres played terrible against the Philadelphia Flyers tonight onto to the Toronto Maple Leafs tomorrow in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  15. Another good road win for the Buffalo Sabres over the Philadelphia Flyers in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  16. Good win this afternoon by the Buffalo Sabres over the Colorado Avalanche. To the Sabres organization order Devin Cooley black and red goalie pants that is embarrassing that a NHL major professional franchise doesn’t have a full set uniforms for a hockey player in there system since the start of training camp with them. Onto the road Wednesday game against the Philadelphia Flyers in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  17. Another loss to the New Jersey Devils to our former head coach Lindy Ruff who the Buffalo Sabres Terry Pegula should never have fired. Thank you Terry Pegula for driving our NHL franchise into ground. I am so thankful for Hockey Heaven. Oh and don’t forget we should be grateful in Buffalo that we have a NHL team blah, blah. Too these Buffalo fans that make excuses for Terry Pegula forever doesn’t it get old? What is the excuse when the Seattle Kraken, Atlanta Thrashers and the Houston Aeros win the Stanley Cup and the Buffalo Sabres are still trying to make the playoffs? The losses are piling up the Sabres need to move on from Don Granato he isn’t the coach with the answers. Onto the Colorado Avalanche game Sunday in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  18. No you don’t waive UPL risk losing all the Buffalo Sabres investment time. The reason you keep UPL on the roster is because Eric Comrie is trade able at the NHL trade deadline potentially if a NHL playoff team needs a third goalie option as insurance especially if it looks like the Sabres miss the playoffs again potentially. If the Sabres ever trade Eric Comrie you have UPL as the backup to Devon Levi so you risk giving up a investment like UPL for nothing there is no reason the Sabres need to do that. Plus there is no point sending UPL to the Rochester Americans they have there goalies set already. Over time in the season if UPL sits too long than the Sabres can send UPL to Rochester Americans for conditioning assignment but no one is risking losing a investment especially goaltending where the Sabres are weak in that position in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  19. Good win by the Buffalo Sabres tonight over the Ottawa Senators onto the New Jersey Devils Friday night in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  20. I agree with Alex Tuch and it’s complicated because so many Buffalo Sabres fans love the whole wants to be a Buffalo Sabres and was a fan growing up of the Sabres story. I would trade Alex Tuch before he has no value for a veteran finisher on the power play especially if the Sabres can’t land aging Patrick Kane in the end of his great NHL career. Alex Tuch is never going to be as talented as Jack Eichel. It will get worse for Alex Tuch and the Buffalo Sabres organization when Sabres fans finally realize the Vegas Golden Knights fleeced the Sabres in that Jack Eichel trade. I get it that Jack Eichel wanted out but I think the Sabres would have been better going for high draft picks than one third line and a fourth line player on a good Stanley Cup contender. Alex Tuch played over his ceiling last year which helped along with a career year by Tage Thompson which also helped soften the blow of Jack Eichel wanting out of Buffalo. But the Buffalo Sabres got ripped off again because they don’t understand asset management in the Sabres hockey department. The Sabres organization are desperate now they better hope that they can land Patrick Kane another veteran presence before the Sabres slip so far in the NHL standings they don’t recover again. If the Sabres don’t make the playoffs this season fire Don Granato and name Michael Peca the head coach for next season. Again I am not saying trade Alex Tuch just to trade him. I am saying if a older superstar type of offensive player like the Pat LaFontaine type a deal comes along for a younger Pierre Turgeon this case Alex Tuch make the trade because Alex Tuch isn’t going to get better he is just not a top line player neither is Dylan Cozens another Sabres fan favorite that is another complicated conversation. Dylan Cozens is a good third line player on a Stanley Cup contender. The problem is the Sabres don’t have enough top 6 forwards that are good enough. The Sabres have too many bottom 6 forwards which is why the Sabres always let fans down right now. I don’t even know what the Buffalo Sabres do with Kevyn Adams the Sabres GM that is another complicated conversation with Sabres fans he continues to over estimate his talent he has on the Sabres. The Buffalo Sabres are who they are very mediocre hockey team right now the question is what is Sabres management going to do about it in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  21. Relocation isn’t the answer for everything. Houston and Atlanta were both in the MLB playoffs, have NFL, NBA and MLS teams. The NHL isn’t going to pack the house with a bad on ice product for years with some of these potential cities like Houston and Atlanta and that isn’t in factoring in major college football. The Atlanta NHL team isn’t beating out the Georgia Bulldogs the NFL Atlanta Falcons don’t even do that in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  22. Huge team effort tonight for the Buffalo Sabres in front of Eric Comrie who played well against the New York Islanders when called upon. I am concerned about Tage Thompson you can see he is really pressing. Big game Monday at home against the long time rival Montreal Canadians before the Sabres go on a long road trip in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  23. We all have told you why the Buffalo Sabres games aren’t selling out. The bottom line is the Canadian hockey fan isn’t in a rush to hand over their money to the Buffalo Sabres either. We saw that in the drop in season tickets. Our tickets aren’t cheap and Terry Pegula doesn’t paper the house like past Sabres owners. So these attendance figures are more accurate than the past ownerships so keep that in mind too in regards to attendance. The bottom line I believe the Toronto Maple Leafs would would give Terry Pegula money before wanting them out of Buffalo. It benefits the Maple Leafs to have the second Southern Ontario team in Buffalo instead of closer like Hamilton or the Toronto suburbs. Believe me the Buffalo Sabres aren’t going anywhere. You think the NHL owners are going to give up huge expansion rights fees in Houston or Atlanta for letting Terry Pegula move or sell the Buffalo Sabres out of town? It isn’t like Terry Pegula has a lot of choices he would have to prove hardship and NHL owners would question Terry Pegula about his product sucks for 12 straight years. Arizona Coyotes, Winnipeg Jets are also two teams struggling worse than the Buffalo Sabres because in Winnipeg they take in Canadian money. So this is all ridiculous now if the Sabres make the playoffs and there is no bounce back the following year then the Sabres could be in potential trouble with the NHL owners. But until then no I don’t believe the Sabres have justification for moving the franchise. I think if the Sabres were going to move they wouldn’t do renovations that are planned or upgrade the video replay board. No owner would care about upgrading the food product if they are moving. Also keep in mind Terry Pegula makes money on concerts at Key Bank Center that is where the big money is the high priced concert tickets. Terry Pegula gets that owning the Buffalo Sabres along with all the events at Key Bank Center. Owners that give up on a market do nothing like what is happening with the Oakland Athletics John Fisher the owner isn’t doing a thing he is making so it bad fans don’t want to go. The Buffalo Sabres are no where like that. I know the warning signs having lost my NBA Buffalo Braves at 10 years old. The Braves stars would sold for cash like Bob McAdoo. For Buffalo fans too young to remember it would be like if the Buffalo Bills sold Josh Allen for cash and nothing else in return. Do you want to buy a Buffalo Braves ticket? That is what Buffalo Braves owner John Y. Brown did to break the Braves lease. Nothing crazy like that is happening with the Buffalo Sabres. If it was I would be the first one to point it out in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  24. Buffalo Sabres fans need to get off the Rochester Americans AHL crap for Devon Levi. Devon Levi was the reason the Sabres had any chance at the end last night. I notice Sabres fans want to focus on the two bad goals Levi let in for there justification to send him to Rochester. But they don’t want to talk about Levi stopping two clear cut breakaways. The Buffalo Sabres are a turnover machine right now. I can’t wait until tomorrow’s game when some Sabres fans get a good look at UPL or Eric Comrie and they can see how much of a drop off there is when they don’t stop the clear cut breakaways. Why do some Sabres fans not see that the reason Don Granato plays Devon Levi all the games until this point because he gives the Sabres the best chance to win. Players in the minors getting run over by some cement head goon is no place to send a future superstar NHL goalie. I rather Levi practice here than expose him to that crap down there in the AHL. Devon Levi can let in 10 goals a game and I want to see him developing up here with the Buffalo Sabres with Craig Anderson. Rochester Americans is glorified ECHL most of those AHL players never get out of the AHL. The travel is also bad by bus where you can become exposed more to injuries on some cramped bus no thank you in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
  25. Why does this Buffalo Sabres team start slow and by the third period look like they are a 35 year old plus NHL team out of gas? The Sabres are a young 25 year old team they shouldn’t be out of gas by the third period. That is strength and conditioning basically poor coaching. Don Granato can’t have a too many men on the ice that is on him being unorganized and unprepared. No way Don Granato should return next season if the Sabres miss the playoffs again this season. Hire Michael Peca as Sabres head coach. The score could have been higher if it wasn’t for Devon Levi stopping clear cut breakaways on Sabres turnovers. Onto the New York Islanders game Saturday in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
