Let’s be honest Craig Anderson is the new Buffalo Sabres goalie coach without the Sabres saying it. This is a very good move by the Sabres for Devon Levi development. My guess is Craig Anderson doesn’t want to be a goalie coach full time or Mike Bales would not have his contract renewed in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo

As a Buffalo Sabres fan I have had issues with Mike Bales as the Sabres goalie coach he is terrible at development. I also don’t believe in some of his goalie teachings like having the goalies drop to their knees. I get it the goalie covers the base of the net but up top is wide open. Carter Hutton did that all the time it was terrible to watch. I would have fired Mike Bales years ago he was a terrible NHL goaltender and a former Boston Bruins just no fire him. Craig Anderson wasn’t affected because he was a veteran goaltender and did what he wanted. Devon Levi again trained in college. Mike Bales is useless in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo

There is no point in trying that because it’s not the root of the Buffalo Sabres problem this season. What the Sabres head coach Don Granato needs to do is send a message with ice time for Tage Thompson, Alex Tuch and Jeff Skinner if you are going to be invisible I will play you minutes that your lazy play warrants. This isn’t a 3rd or 4th line problem this is our top two lines being lazy with the Sabres. The coach needs to send a message now before it lingers and it’s too late in the season. Tage Thompson has been a huge disappointment this season he has the ability to take games over and is playing like garbage on the ice right now at home zero excuse for that in my opinion. Go Sabres! Another terrible disappointing loss 0-2 record already with Tage Thompson, Alex Tuch and Jeff Skinner invisible again. Remember these games if the Buffalo Sabres miss the playoffs by one or two points again. You can’t take nights off in the NHL and when your number one line is invisible you’re not going anywhere with play like that. As usual everything was great until they dropped the puck and the Buffalo Sabres actually had to play hockey. This nonsense has gone on 12 plus years not being prepared while all the other NHL teams are prepared minus the Arizona Coyotes that have no home and play at a college facility. You can’t have Tage Thompson and Alex Tuch invisible and not difference makers on opening night. The Buffalo Sabres are in trouble if Tage Thompson had a career year. Tage Thompson was one of the worst players on the ice tonight that can’t happen if the Buffalo Sabres are going to make the playoffs. One goal isn’t going to get it done. Calgary Flames, Montreal Canadians and Ottawa Senators are three potential wins? I don’t see any other wins that isn’t going to get it done 3 wins potentially in October. I hope I am wrong but the Buffalo Sabres can’t play when they are playing for something. When they are 20 points out of it in garbage time on the NHL schedule the Buffalo Sabres will win and be hot. Why? Because there is no pressure. The Buffalo Sabres don’t respond well to pressure it has been there downfall for over a decade. You don’t have money players like Rick Martin, Rene Robert and Danny Gare that were gamers and scored big goals in clutch the current Buffalo Sabres the moment is always too big for them with excuses that has to change or this team isn’t going to make the playoffs in my opinion. I am not concerned with the goaltending. I more concerned when the Buffalo Sabres start running around in their own defensive zone and can’t get the puck out of it’s own end. The Buffalo Sabres problem isn’t a talent problem it’s a head problem. These grown men professional athletes Buffalo Sabres fans should ask themselves how come all the other NHL teams get it and the Buffalo Sabres players are still not getting it. 3-4 record in preseason is very concerning. Five hundred hockey isn’t getting the Sabres to the playoffs. The Buffalo Sabres need to get past there obvious mental block with showing up every game and competing for 60 minutes. The Vegas Golden Knights just flip a switch and play hard every night the Buffalo Sabres don’t do that. Buffalo Sabres fans will know everything they need to know tomorrow night if the Buffalo Sabres can’t beat the New York Rangers at home I doubt very much this Sabres team gets it. You need to show up and be counted for your home opener and your home games if you want to make the playoffs in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo

There better owners than Terry Pegula that is for sure because there is a standard and a line you don’t cross like failing to make the playoffs for decades. First I am a hardcore Buffalo Bisons fan and I glad Buffalo didn’t get MLB. Buffalo Sabres fans should be glad Buffalo didn’t get MLB baseball. I do think MLB would’ve worked here in Buffalo the Buffalo Sabres would be gone if it was between Buffalo MLB and Buffalo Sabres hockey. Why? Because the Rich Family are smarter than anyone that has owned the Buffalo Sabres. Public downtown business money would back the 81 baseball games over 41 hockey games. I believe if Buffalo built the original Pilot Field dome stadium and got all the New York State money instead of half what they got. Marine Midland Arena potentially never gets built. The Buffalo Memorial Auditorium gets renovated for Buffalo AHL hockey. With the Buffalo 40,000 seat dome which Pilot Field was originally designed to be would have held the Buffalo MLB, concerts, NCAA tournament and there is no reason to build Marine Midland Arena. It’s sad because that original stadium would have been perfect for UB football instead of that dump UB Stadium which by far is the worse stadium in Buffalo currently. There would have been no reason to build UB Stadium if the Pilot Field dome was built. It was supposed to be like the current Tampa Bay Rays stadium. Which I was in on vacation and I realized we really missed the boat not building Pilot Field Dome the way it was originally planned. That was when Buffalo MLB was done the moment New York State decided to build a half price minor league stadium. Yes it could be expanded but no dome would have been problematic over time. It would have been a mess with our winter weather we needed a dome for MLB in Buffalo. The Buffalo Sabres are here in 1970 only because the Buffalo Bisons failed in 1969 MLB expansion losing to San Diego and Montreal. After that many in the Buffalo MLB expansion group settled on the Buffalo Sabres NHL expansion franchise as a constellation prize for not getting MLB expansion. They don’t apply for NHL expansion in 1970 if they were successful in MLB expansion in 1969. The NHL has been a fringe sport for decades and nothing really changes it’s here because we don’t have nice things like MLB in Buffalo. So Buffalo Sabres be happy the Buffalo Bisons are in the IL because the Buffalo would still be in the AHL if Buffalo was successful in getting MLB. Last I have followed the Buffalo Sabres for 49 years and I have zero tolerance anymore for that team and organization if they said they wanted to move tomorrow good luck don’t let the door hit you on the way out because of the decades of excuses and nonsense with the losing. I don’t care how much money the team spends and how happy they are win a Stanley Cup and stop embarrassing this city the Vegas Golden Knights have Stanley Cup rings the Buffalo Sabres are sorry excuse for NHL professional hockey club. The NHL cap is going up and the Buffalo Sabres are comfortable with these numbers for Rasmus Dahlin. The Buffalo Sabres are around Rasmus Dahlin we aren’t as Buffalo Sabres fans so I don’t have any issues with what the Buffalo Sabres paid. They are going all in with their own young Sabres players and hopefully it works out because if it doesn’t Kevyn Adams and Don Granato will both be fired if history of PSE ownership is any indication in my opinion. Dave Andreychuk wasn’t winning the Buffalo Sabres a Stanley Cup. He played on many good Buffalo Sabres teams he needed to move on. The bottom line the Buffalo Sabres beat the Boston Bruins to get out of the first round with Grant Fuhr. For that time period where Buffalo Sabres were getting knocked out of the first round yearly it was worth it to get out of the first round. At that time Dom Hasek wasn’t Hasek yet. Grant Fuhr in his prime was way better than Ryan Miller. When the Buffalo Sabres got Grant Fuhr he was at the end of his NHL career. Grant Fuhr playing on one leg is better than Ryan Miller. I am a fan of Ryan Miller but Buffalo fans way overrated Ryan Miller. I get it Ryan Miller is like able did a lot of local charity and was an American born player. But Ryan Miller won no Stanley Cups and basically wanted out of Buffalo. Got his wish and still didn’t win anything in St Louis, Vancouver and Anaheim that isn’t something I would want from Devon Levi. Grant Fuhr is a Stanley Cup winning goalie. That is like saying Tim Horton of the Buffalo Sabres isn’t very good and he was 41 years old as a Buffalo Sabres in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo

First the Buffalo Sabres aren’t going anywhere. Downtown Buffalo what is down there at Canalside fails without the Buffalo Sabres. I know everyone says how important the Buffalo Bills are. But the reality Orchard Park has very little infrastructure so if the Buffalo Bills were to leave Orchard Park would be fine. Downtown Buffalo would be a shell of itself without the Buffalo Sabres 41 times a year. Remember that when Buffalo Sabres fans hear about lease negotiations. I get it the Buffalo Sabres aren’t very good for years. If this professional sports stuff didn’t matter Las Vegas wouldn’t be bending over backwards to acquire professional sports teams for their hotels. It matters so the Buffalo Sabres aren’t going anywhere. As for drawing this is the new normal Buffalo doesn’t do weekdays games anymore. I don’t know why that is a thing but it is what it is. I personally would play Sunday night games again regardless of the Buffalo Bills because for whatever reason Monday through Thursday is no go for Buffalo. I would play all Saturday afternoon games like the Boston Bruins use to do because families can bring there children. Look at the Buffalo Bisons baseball next season they are starting there games at 6:30 instead of 7:00 so families can get there kids home for bed. The Buffalo Sabres need to make changes that matches the cultural norms of today’s Buffalo sports fans. When the Buffalo Sabres renovated Key Bank Center I would reduce capacity to 16,500 because television is also a factor and our arena for this economic area is too large capacity wise. Technology is too good today with these Smart televisions it is very easy to watch at home which is also a reason why the Key Bank Center capacity should be reduced in my opinion. Go Sabres! UPL is the worst of the three goalies so far. I waive UPL hope he clears and send him to the Rochester Americans for the season. Devon Levi the starter and Eric Comrie the backup are my two goalies for opening night. If UPL is claimed good luck no great loss the Buffalo Sabres have sunk enough time in waiting on this guy he is worse than Linus Ullmark who I wasn’t a fan of either. All I know is if Devon Levi isn’t the starting goalie for opening night than I question Don Granato competence as a head coach. As a Buffalo sports fan for 49 years this is a horrible idea. It’s just another reason why Terry Pegula needs to sell the whole Buffalo Sabres franchise not just the rumored 49%. Terry Pegula is reckless with the Buffalo Sabres franchise for 12 years and counting. I live in the Buffalo northern suburbs of Amherst I don’t care about some Western New York Sabres fans benefits as mini ticket brokers this is a horrible business idea and practice for the Buffalo Sabres franchise. I am loyal Buffalo homer forever fan but this is leading to NHL hockey potentially leaving Buffalo at some point if that potentially happens we will point to this day. Because a good portion of our neighbors to the north Southern Ontario have supported the Buffalo Sabres franchise for years. Newsflash Terry Pegula it’s some of the Western New York fans that aren’t Buffalo Sabres fans because they have access to all the NHL games today it’s not just some Canadian fans rooting for opposing teams. This is not like my generation where all we got was the Buffalo Sabres and Toronto Maple Leafs in this market before cable television. Those Boston Bruins fans are potentially Buffalonians. Again whatever it doesn’t matter as long as the Buffalo Sabres seats are filled. You think all those Buffalo fans are Buffalo Bills fans? No there not. It’s just the way things are today. Again I am good either way because if the Buffalo Sabres NHL hypothetically move to Houston or wherever I would follow and be a fan of the potential new Buffalo Stampede or Buffalo Wings AHL franchise that potentially replaces the Buffalo Sabres. I am telling Buffalo Sabres fans like it is. It’s doesn’t matter if 99% are Toronto Maple Leafs fans at Buffalo Sabres games if the Buffalo Sabres seats are full and the Buffalo Sabres stays in Buffalo. For the Buffalo fans with reading comprehension problems I am not saying I want the Buffalo Sabres to move. I am saying if they moved I would be loyal to Buffalo sports teams like potentially a Buffalo AHL franchise if the Buffalo Sabres potentially moved out of Buffalo. What is ironic sadly is to the Buffalo Sabres broker fan that likes this idea if the Buffalo Sabres potentially moved they would most likely wouldn’t buy Buffalo AHL tickets because it isn’t big time enough for them to scalp the Buffalo AHL tickets. So no I don’t back this idea to appeal to Buffalo Sabres mini ticket broker fan you are either a Buffalo Sabres fan with all of the US, Canada and the World being able to purchase tickets or you are not in a capitalistic sports business. As a loyal Buffalo Sabres fan this is a bad idea by a incompetent clueless owner that hires even more clueless marketing and management people. Since you are one of the better Buffalo fans with a open mind I will try to answer your question with some speculation because I am not there on the inside of the Buffalo Sabres I am just a Buffalo fan. My guess is Terry Pegula made himself Buffalo Sabres president because he is only selling 49% or less to a group of investor’s shareholders bought in by John Roth potentially that is why John Roth is there potentially. It’s good news for the Buffalo Sabres fans wanting Terry Pegula to sell the team because he is going to have to answer to a group of investor’s shareholders. Why that is good news is because Terry Pegula is going to have to get with the Buffalo Sabres program and answer for his bumbling management style of the Buffalo Sabres or risk being forced out by the 49% shareholders to sell them his 51% controlling interest the 49% potentially saying no more money to run the Buffalo Sabres into the ground yearly with free for all firings of management people. That 49% will have right of first refusal to purchase the other 51% of the Buffalo Sabres at some point overtime if I was guessing. It’s good news because Terry Pegula is going to have to answer for 12 years of Hockey Hell for the Buffalo Sabres finally if that continues plus adding in Terry Pegula is way over his head dealing with sharks like Jerry Jones company Legends. Along with I personally have doubts 62,000 Buffalo Bills fans are paying outrageous PSL’s prices for the Buffalo Bills tickets in the new Bills stadium which will put more stress on Terry Pegula liquidity he will sell all of the Buffalo Sabres by 2030 at the latest potentially is my guess. The bad news for us Buffalo fans that want Terry Pegula to sell his teams is he still owns 100% of the Buffalo Bills and controls Highmark Stadium 2 lucky us? As a Buffalo fan I am good with that compromise. It’s the one man owning most of our sports teams I started to not like overtime it became stale along with too many Buffalo Bills fans that defended Terry Pegula Buffalo Sabres ownership because he bought the Buffalo Bills which became tiresome. There were some Buffalo Bills fans always excusing Terry Pegula from the Buffalo Sabres dealings because all they cared about was the Buffalo Bills staying in Buffalo even though they are apples and oranges. When PSE jumped the shark bringing in “Bills Mafia” fans like “Bills Elvis” etc when Buffalo Sabres attendance was low after Covid 19 like the “Brady Brunch” television show bringing in “Cousin Oliver” the last season of the show as a Buffalo fan I knew that PSE management is out of fresh ideas for the Buffalo Sabres and it’s time for new ownership separate from the Buffalo Bills for the Buffalo Sabres in my opinion. I have seen Connor Hellebuyck of the Winnipeg Jets another overrated goalie like Robin Lehner and Linus Ullmark that some of our foolish Buffalo Sabres fans are in love with. Devon Levi is the starter and UPL/Malcolm Subban remember him I rather have him over trading for a back up goalie. Those two UPL/Subban will come to camp to compete for the back up goalie spot behind Levi the Sabres starting goalie with the loser of the UPL/Subban competition going to be the starter for the Rochester Americans AHL would be my choice based on reality.
