I don't get the 2nd point at all? Av's suck as bad as the Sabres? Scoring in the NHL is barely ahead of soccer?

Two questions... #1 Was the Sabres supposed new anthem "One Buffalo" played at the game last night? #2 How loud was the booing at the games end?

I didn't see any of the game(thankful for that). Based on TOI numbers, I am assuming Reinhart was on a line with McCormick and Deslauriers. If so, Nolan is a f***ing moron that makes me want to see him fired ASAP, and to just make the entire season disappear. Year 2 of the tank is going to be very painful, and as I have stated before, and others have mentioned tonight, I really hope that TM wasn't really trying to make this team better, because if so, we may be in trouble with him at the helm. If he is pro-tank(no one will ever really know), then he is a tank commander of the highest level.

I'm not looking to trade away every player on the Sabres who is older than 20, but this description is right on the money, and makes me wonder why everyone thinks a Myers trade should bring us the gold at the end of the rainbow. PS Nowhere is it stated what Anaheim or Detroit are offering up, or where Myers would fit on their blueline. No mention of Myers being acquired as a top pairing defenseman.

The Amerks have 4 games in the next 8 days. Hopefully he rejoins the Sabres after they come back from the west coast.

I agree. I don't think they end up at the bottom come April.

I didn't watch the whole game, and maybe the guy tracking SOG for the Islanders was overzealous, but San jose had the Islanders pinned in their own zone a lot. I just can't believe(or don't want to believe) that Bozo Snow has finally put together a competitive team.

Put away all the patio furniture, threw out most of the flowers that were in pots, and brought out the snowblower. I hate the end of nice weather.

What has Myers done that would make you believe he can get you a 30 goal/75 point forward in return? While he is not at the trainwreck level he has played at in past years, he is not exactly "all-star" caliber material.

One last thought as the players are still on the field, what kind of celebration is it when in one arm you have your baby, and you have your other arm around your wife. YOU'RE GOING TO THE WORLD SERIES, GET IN THE LOCKER ROOM AND GO CRAZY. Hug your kid after you leave the locker room, and get your congratulatory BJ from the wife when you get home. :w00t: I'm done now.

This goes hand in hand with my annual rant when the Stanley Cup is now handed out. Instead of the players being able to skate the Cup around the entire rink, handing it from one to the other, they are now relegated to a pirouette with the Cup above their head because of a mob of media on the ice.

TM makes me nervous about trading draft picks. I realize they can't possibly use all the picks, but 3 2nd round picks(and McNabb) were traded away for Fasching, Deslauriers, and Gorges, and there was talk that 3 more 2nd round picks were offered to get back into the bottom half of the first round last June.

I really believe the Sabres get the game in 18, 19, or 20.

One other note...another "made for TV" trophy presentation. Royals win, and then wait 15-20 minutes for stage to be assembled at 2nd base for ceremony. Let them go in the locker room, get the champagne flowing, and have the trophy presentation take place in there.

Great underdog story, but from a series perspective, a sweep is as boring as it gets.
