Once again, a Sabres player gets nailed by a dirty hit and the response was nothing more than a shove or two. That includes everyones favorite player who was first on the scene...Girgensons. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

I believe it was after the Pittsburgh blowout that Weber was only one of 3 Sabres to face the media while the majority of his teammates ran and hid. He was very candid, blasting away. The result...he gets benched the next two games. Enquiring minds want to know.

What is wrong with the Av's? They had the 3rd best record in the NHL last year. Now that I said that, watch them come out and win 8-1 tonight.

I believe Collberg is a very good prospect though.

The premise of the post I was responding to was that the Sabres would not be re-signing them. ;) What makes you think Stewart is only worth a late pick when we are only a couple seasons removed from Gaustad being traded for a 1st round pick?

As funny as that is for us pro-tankers, I agree 100%. If he still has a job this morning, all the upper management should feel extremely safe about their job security going forward. I may very soon go underground. I am sick of any announcer who refers to the crease as the "blue paint". Doesn't it sound better to say his foot was in the crease(FU Hull) instead of his foot was in the "blue paint". It was called the crease forever. WTF!

Just watched the Cubs press conference introducing Joe Maddon as their new manager. I know he had a lot of success in Tampa, but didn't know much else about him. After watching the press conference, I'd love to see him bring a WS championship to Cubs fans. I love how the guy showed up in jeans, and a casual button down shirt(not tucked in). LOL. He has a great sense of humor, seems to be a straight shooter, and hopefully a great asset to the Cubs. They have a ton of young talent, and hopefully he can mold them into a winner over the next few years.

Since I am on my anti-Nolan bandwagon, let me be the first to say, I am glad Reinhart is out of here. I would have loved for him to stay up here until the WJC, go there in December, and then come back and play limited minutes, practice his a$$ off, and become best friends with the S&C coach, but IMO this was the right call.

A defenseman's job is exactly that...the last line of DEFENSE. Chances are that the guy who he was chasing was not going to score from along the boards. He was taking a look at the boards as the pass was coming to Marchand. You are okay with that?

So they put a statue of Tim Horton outside the new Tim Horton's. He was an all-time great who was finishing his career as a Sabre when he died in a car accident. They retired his number and now have a statue of him on the property. I'm not losing any sleep over it.
