  1. ..because the Sabres are out of the playoffs, he is a former Sabre, and there isn't much else to talk about. Good enough for you? <_<
  2. He did absolutely nothing in the AHL this season except for collecting his 4.75mil NHL salary. Where does he go next? IMO he could make a very nice living over in Europe for the next 5-7 years(where his game would probably translate nicely), but I get the feeling he just packs it in.
  3. Game 4 will be must see TV. I hate the Canadiens, and I despise their fans!
  4. I can't see them burning up a AHL vet slot on both Ellis and McCormick. One of them has to be replaced with an AHL vet who can score.
  5. ..and you have to drink a $9 beer while playing.
  6. I had a dream the other night, when everything was still; I thought I saw Susanna dear, a coming down the hill. A buckwheat cake was in her mouth, a tear was in her eye, Says I, I'm coming from the south, Susanna, don't you cry. I soon will be in New Orleans, and then I'll look around, And when I find Susanna, I'll fall upon the ground. But if I do not find her, then I will surely die, And when I'm dead and buried, Oh, Susanna, don't you cry.
  7. If that is the case then they should have shut him down for the season, and maybe played someone in games two and three who might have helped them. ;)
  8. Maybe it is wishful thinking on my part, but I am hoping that Girgensons and Larsson are top 6 material.
  9. Sabres University done for the semester. I'm waiting for the reviews of how Grigs dominated at the AHL level.
  10. I am 100% opposed to moving up. Do you have draft grades that show Barkov is head and shoulders above Lindholm or your boy Monahan? Even to move up from 8 to 4 is going to be costly, and for a team that is lacking in top 6 forwards throughout the organization, I don't want to give up picks to make a move of this nature.
  11. Will you still feel the rebuild won't take long if they trade Miller and Vanek in the offseason?
  12. Does anyone have the exact quote from Darcy when he was talking about Terry asking him to try this or that? I really need to add it to my sig. It will make for a perfect pairing to the LQ exchange with Robert.
  13. Just curious, who still has a landline in their house/apartment? I have been debating about getting rid of it for a few years now, and think I am ready to take the plunge.
  14. I agree. As one team gets drawn, the rest of their ping pong balls come out of the machine. Keep drawing until you get to 14. That being said, the ping pong ball draw would have to be done before hand as their is no way it could get done in 30 minutes.
  15. What was up with the DR statement that "Terry is talking to me almost on a daily basis asking me to try this or that". WTF(I am doing the WTF wave in between keystrokes) does that mean, and how much meddling is Pegs doing? I'm starting to get the feeling he may give Quinny a run for his money in this regard.
  16. Like a guy who doesn't have a care in the world due to tremendous job security. ;)
  17. Disclaimer...I did not listen to the whole thing as the exchanges between BN staff and Ted became painful to listen to. A few bullet points... - Pegula started the battle two years ago when he went to BN management to complain that the sports staff were being unkind to his new toy. - That being said, there was no reason for Sully and Harrington to act like aholes. Both of them came off looking really bad, and I am normally one to defend them. Was Bucky there? - Not at all surprised that DR still has a job. He sacrificed Lindy(not that I was a fan of his) in order to keep his job. Scumbag! - I am glad Pegula wasn't there nor do I feel he should have been. He is a public speaking disaster which was evident the day of his first PC as the Sabres owner. - I feel that if they truly believe there is no future with Vanek and Miller and they trade them, the on-ice product is going to be much worse in the next two years. This clown for a GM couldn't even figure out how to plug small holes like going into this year without a 3rd line center, and yet he is going to oversee a major overhaul? LOL. That's all I have.
  18. Me, but I am feeling quite delusional today. :)
  19. Best tank job goes to Nashille who finished the season 1-8-1. To put it in perspective, they were ahead of the Sabres in the standings with 10 games remaining.
  20. Game on right now. TWC 87. 1-0 Marlies in the 1st.
  21. If Darcy stays on, I will be extremely disappointed in Pegula. Just because he sent his BFF down the river(or was told to do it or be fired) doesn't mean he knows how to BUILD A TEAM. He has been clueless in this regard for the last decade, and I see no reason why that is going to change going forward. If he is still employed after Monday's PC, all I can say is that I am glad I will be out of town the entire week leading up to the draft, and not be home until the Monday after, so I don't have to watch him continue to screw this franchise up.
  22. I always liked Hecht. He was a solid 3rd line forward who was defensively responsible, could fill in when needed on the top 6, and was a good penalty killer.
