  1. What site is league on? I signed up, missed the draft, and now can't remember where it is hosted. LOL nvm, I found it. Only 1 qb drafted by computer? LOL. Thats what I get for forgetting about it.
  2. I don't know how bad it used to be(I had mine done 5 or so years ago), but being able to mix the "magic potion" with gatorade made it tolerable. I just couldn't drink the last 6 or so oz., not because of the taste, just couldn't get it down. LOL. The rest was a piece of cake seeing how you remember nothing!
  3. Sorry I missed the draft. Now it's time to see how auto draft treated me.
  4. I'll say this about an NHL team in Vegas, it would make for a great Sabres road trip once a year. I always enjoy going to see the Bills in Miami(especially if the game is in November/early December), but a combo Vegas trip/Sabres game would be AWESOME!
  5. I voted for Seattle & KC. Preferably one of the two is a relocation from South Florida.
  6. On a trip home recently, somewhere along the way, I lost the piece on the back of my Garmin GPS which in turn connects to the suction cup you attach to your windshield. Replacement on the Garmin website for this piece of plastic that costs them pennies to manufacturer...$9.95 + shipping and handling. Not much better, but I found it on Amazon for $7.95 with Prime shipping. Either way, someone is making a huge profit selling items like this. Similar experience, in the near future, we are switching our TV back to a cabinet where it will sit on the pedestal. I'll be damned if I can find it, we never used it from the get go. Replacement...anywhere between $80-$100. :censored:
  7. Considering Erie is only 90 minutes or so from Buffalo, and an OHL game would have a better atmosphere in their home rink, IMO this is much ado about nothing. That being said, I can appreciate the effort put forth by the organization to bring more hockey events to the area. Scouting combine, amateur events, prospects game, possible 2016 draft...
  8. Leino by a country mile. Kozlov couldn't wait to get out of here, but his play was nowhere near as embarrassing as Leino.
  9. What? Only political hack to show up for a photo op was Byron Brown? Did the press release not make its way to the State Assembly and Legislature, the City Common Council, County Legislature, etc... What role did Byron Brown play in securing this event that made him feel he should be part of the announcement. No wonder I stay as far away from politics as possible. What a joke.
  10. IMO, these guys(including Nolan) are nothing more than 1-2 year placeholders. If they do nothing to damage prospect development over the next year or two, I will be happy. I could be wrong, but I don't see Nolan being here when this team makes it back to the playoffs.
  11. I wonder if the main FNC sign on the arena is going to be redone so that as you walk towards the arena on Washington you can see the entire sign again? With HarborCenter construction, most of the sign is now blocked.
  12. When is the UB AD going to add Men's Lacrosse and Men's Hockey to the sports they play, and drop two other sports? Not only does he have a huge hockey and lacrosse hotbed to draw from, they are two sports that potentially could generate revenue via attendance(if they get in the right conference) as they are both popular here in WNY.
  13. Did you read the author's criteria that he used when creating the rankings? "....considers only Calder-eligible prospects"
  14. The continued search for asst. coaches is really puzzling. Does Nolan have a not so good reputation among his coaching brethren? The excuse that they are waiting for some coaches to finish their season is gone. Certainly money is not an issue with Daddy Warbucks at the helm. So what else could it be? I know Ted has it in him to get the most out of mediocre vets, but I really hope he can get the kids on the road to development. If not, they need to keep a close eye on both him and the youngsters.
  15. IMO Cleveland has suffered more. At least the Bills have made 4 SB appearances, and the Sabres 2 SC finals appearances. Cleveland with the Indians, Cavs, and Browns...Zero SB appearances, 2 WS appearances, and 1 NBA Finals appearance.
  16. I've been a fan of the Bills since the late 60's and the Sabres since their beginning. I've stated many times over the years that I just want to witness either one win a championship. As I hit my mid 50's, I'd prefer to see the Sabres hoist the Cup over the Bills winning a SB, but I am starting to get the feeling that neither is going to happen in my lifetime(or at least a point in my life where I can enjoy/partake in the celebration). I really hope one of them proves me wrong.
  17. If this is a response to my references about Zadorov, I did put the disclaimer in my post that my opinion that he "looks slow" could be a result of his size. I hope he proves me wrong. That is why I am interested in seeing him in game action come September/October.
  18. Went to the 3 on 3 today. - Sat in the same section as Sabres FO staff/coaches. Pegula and Murray were sitting together. - Teams were alternating ends, so I sat at one end instead of at center ice. - Once again, I was impressed by Willman's skill. I'd like to know what his downside is as a 5th round pick? - Compher really impressive. Not only hustling, but had at least two nice goals while down at my end. I'm disappointed that he won't be at training camp along with Fasching, and the other college players. - Zadorov once again looks like he is skating in cement. I know this is partially because of his size, but I am really interested in seeing him when live bullets start flying in September. That being said, this 3 on 3 is tailor made for speedy skill guys. - If Reinhart's main goal this season is to put on weight and get stronger, I'd rather have him here than in the WHL. Also, allow him to play in the WJC. Even if it means playing limited minutes, give him some PP time, play him with two-way wingers, and let him work on the little things in his first season. - Some really nice glove saves by Ullmark and Liewen. - I'm hoping Girgenson's offensive game makes a jump this year. Clearly he has all the other tools needed to be a top 6 forward. Size, speed, hustle, solld defensive player... - Either McCabe plays with big shoulder pads, or he is bigger than I thought. - Risto has game. Nothing more to say.
  19. The snobs that run the British Open who insist that its championship be referred to on the coverage as "The Open". F*** that. Growing up it was always the British Open. How come I don't remember the 4 majors being referred to as the Masters, US Open, PGA Championship & "The Open". Speaking of golf snobs, the tools that run the Masters and Augusta who nit pick to the point of dictating how many commercials per hour the networks can run during coverage of its precious tournament.
  20. I know Paul Hamilton repeats his same opinions on the air twice a day(morning and afternoon shows) for months on end, thinks the Sabres can only keep Ennis or Hodgson. He refers to them as the "same player", which I never understand what he means, and he never gets challenged on it by the hosts. I disagree, and if Hodgson can make a successful and permanent transition to wing, I think they both have a place on the Sabres...at least for the next 2-3 years
  21. I was at the scrimmage last night, but sitting only 10 rows up(friend's son wanted to be down low) which made it hard to see the entire rink. My observations(not proclaiming that players will be superstars or busts based on one scrimmage)... - Grigorenko at this point entering his 3rd camp should dominate. Instead he was hardly noticeable against players who for the most part is older than, has more skill, and is more physically developed. - Armia? Still waiting for a sign that he has a better chance as a top 6 NHL forward versus a guy who will end up back overseas in a couple of years. - Late round 2014 pick Willman was pretty impressive for a high schooler going up against players with junior, college and pro experience. - Risto looks ready for a full time NHL role. - Zadorov looks really slow. I want to see him in preseason game action with speedy forwards coming at him. He seems like a player who is going to have to be positionally sound all the time, because he doesn't have the foot speed to allow him to recover from being out of position. - Lot of speed on the wings in the coming years with Bailey, Baptiste & others. - Didn't notice Compher much. - Reinhart made one nice backhand pass entering the offensive zone. Didn't see much else. - Ullmark was the best of the 4 goalies. - Catenacci had several good chances in the second, but came away with nothing to show for it. - A little disappointed that the majority of goals(I think 4 out of 6) were scored by guys without a contract just there as tryout(filler) guys. - A lot of positives on Carrier here, but I must have missed it(like I said my seat location was not ideal). - I know the 3 on 3 isn't real hockey, but I want to go down there on Friday and focus on the skill levels. - I could swear they said prior to the start that their would be a shootout afterwards, but either they had a change of plans, or I misheard the PA announcement.
