    I will be interested to see how quickly DDB hires his assistants. I could be wrong, but I believe that TN didn't hire Trottier and co. until sometime in the first half of August.

    Unless DDB is that much better than the next guy on TM's list, I would have told $hit$burgh to go pound salt. The Sabres are taking the salary of your former coach off your books. If that isn't good enough, then FU. I don't like pissing away draft picks that are meant to keep the cupboards restocked.

    They have Eichel, Kane, Ennis, Moulson and probably Reinhart in their top 6 next year. In what scenario is there room for 4 new guys in the top 6?

    No way I give up anything close to a 1st for Bylsma. If Babcock was only going to be a 3rd, Bylsma is not worth anymore than a 4th or 5th. As far as part of a package deal, any deal for Bylsma is separate from any deal for players/prospects. No combo deal...sorry Shitt$$burgh.

    I don't think I will be able to go, but I put in for tickets sometime back in early spring, and also have not heard anything from them.

    Only time will tell, but I've said the same thing about TM. No brainers to pick Reinhart and EIchel, we'll see how he does with the rest of his drafts, trades & F/A.

    Perreault along with OJ and McAdoo were my boyhood sports heroes. Perreault was AWESOME. Enough said.

    You know what really sucks? If the announcer for the 15-16 season was told to be just like Milt Ellis, it wouldn't have any negative impact on the crowd atmosphere versus "monster truck" style of PA announcer. You would think there would be someone old school in the organization <cough cough> Pegula <cough cough> who would just say, this is what I want! In case you can't tell, I HATE monster truck PA guy...especially the Sabres current guy. Every time I had to listen to him say Thomas Vanek, it made me want to go on a seek and destroy mission and rip the microphone out of his hand.

    I'll hop on this bandwagon. I never viewed Nolan as anything more than a placeholder. He's gone. Who cares. Good riddance.

    Coming from Detroit where they lived for a decade in a similar city/suburban area comparable to Buffalo, I wouldn't have thought there would be a problem coming here. That being said, I am not sure where Mrs. Babcock grew up. Maybe she is from the GTA. Unless you are used to the big city lifestyle, the traffic alone can be a major culture shock.

    This year was an exception in that a "great" not "good" coach hit the market in Babcock. The rest of the field isn't any different from most other years. McLellan, Bylsma, a handful of retreads with NHL HC experience, a few AHL guys, etc...
