  1. Team went 3-10 without Muel. 6/26 points They are 10-4-2 with him. 22/32 points The 4 losses were to NJ CO TB and Pitt. Keep this pace up the rest of the way we’ll make that WC race interesting.
  2. TT had only 3 points in the first 7 games. So he has 41 points in the last 22 games.
  3. I’ve always said by January 1 you know what team you are or have. We’re almost there. It’s currently the highest scoring team in the NHL. This team when healthy is a 100 point team. I don’t know if they can make the playoffs but I wouldn’t bet against this group. And as a fan I couldn’t be happier this is where we are. A quarter of the roster can barely purchase alcohol.
  4. The 99 and 06 teams we’re supposed to be good The debate is definitely between the 1995 and 2005 teams as to which was the biggest shock/accomplishment/out of nowhere unbelievable I’ll always be partial to the teams with Hasek - oh and also my pfp lol. That team was so much fun. The 2005 team is right there and I think most fans would say it’s that team. I’m not going to put an argument against that. But the way it ended left such a sick disappointment it over shadows how unreal that team was. The ultimate Buffalo what could have been.
  5. Is it not obvious enough how important Muel is to this team? If the goaltending is competent and we stay healthy on the back end yes I expect this team to be at a 90 plus point pace. Just like it started the season. And I don’t think we can be too upset about that and if we just fell short. Just making the playoffs this year would be this franchise’s biggest accomplishment since the 1995-96 team.
  6. You mean turning your sport into one where every single team builds the same way using the same analytics going after the same type of players has created a parity ridden league that’s boring. Stunning. Who saw this coming? But at least we got rid of the goons and the stars are safe. They were all dropping like flies in the 70s and 80s. Have no clue how this league survived such turbulent violent times.
  7. I answer this question by understanding - teams that win championships aren’t because the fan base pleased the hockey gods or some nonsense They win because from the top down nothing but excellence is acceptable. Oh and key players stay healthy when it matters. That’s the luck part of sports.
  8. Stop. The injuries on D (both teams) are killing us They’ll be fine when we get those pieces back
  9. Weak goal weak effort in front but that just has to be saved. *goes to watch Devon Levi highlights*
  10. Levi is my favorite prospect in this organization and maybe ever. The problem with the "only Cal Petersen" take is that was recent, and Portilo is going to go UFA making it 2 Sabres in 6 years (assuming he opts for UFA in 2023) AND both are goalies. That's a trend. Until Levi signs an ELC we can't "count on" him. KA can. Maybe he knows something. But Levi definitely did not leave an impression of 100% I'll be there so until he signs I'll be skeptical. Love him. Want him to be here - and same Portillo for that matter.
  11. You draft a top end prospect goalie like Florida did, have 2 of them, and you can trade 1 in a package for Sam Reinhart. I'm not going to pretend I know anything about this goalie. But I can tell you, still to this day outside of the QB in football and pitcher in baseball, the goalie is the most important position in sports. I know. That's not how the team building in 2022 NHL works considering the cap. I get it. Just because you don't break the bank for a goalie doesn't make the position less vital. In fact with turnover because teams won't give big money extensions to them, having multiple in the system is more important then ever.
  12. I think we feel good about our organizational D depth. I can't disagree.
  13. With 3 picks in RD 2 I'm assuming they knew one of those would be a goalie
  14. Evander Kane - watching him dominate brought this on. ROR Evan Rodriguez Chad Ruhweeedul Samson Reinhart Zach Bogosian Brandon Montour Taylor Hall Conor Sheary All played here with Jack I've seen be important pieces in these here playoffs. All thriving in a new environments. Not all Jacks fault I know. I just still can't go over how botched this all was. And hopefully how quickly KA has figured it out.
