  1. That’s exactly what I expected from this group. That the Norris injury would demoralize them. Confirming they are the most mentally weak team in Sabres history. Reflection of management. Coaches. And the players. Nice next man up mentality. But in fairness considering the losing they’ve been thru, I’m not mad about it. No one should be talking about blowing it up either. Bc it will be Adams making the trades and that just can’t happen.
  2. Who cares what the doctors say - when it comes to his CURRENT health yes sure they had no concerns with his shoulder. What the GM has to do which the doctor cannot is say “the greatest predictor of injury is prior injury. Yea sorry Ottawa I’m going to look somewhere else.” That clip screams of a GM looking for or wanting to find justification/confirmation that he’s making the right move - a real GM just doesn’t sound like that. I want my GM to say “thanks for the medicals but I know how this goes with players like Norris and the asset I’m trading MUST get me a sure return.”
  3. Tuch should be dealt no way he’s going to want to stick around now - yes this Norris injury is that significant. And KA should NOT BE MAKING ANY TRADES. He has until Halloween then it’s time to clean house. Which begs the question. Can you get the best candidates for a GM job at the start of a season - I’ll be realistic and say Thanksgiving? If the answer is “no” you really need to do this after the season - then that means if Tuch is traded it’s going to be by people not in charge long term. Oh wait. That would be Terry who’d probably make the trade anyway. My bad.
  4. The good news is we got him thru 2030 at 8 million a year. Maybe 1 of those 5 seasons he can stay on the ice.
  5. Apparently X is saying he had a 12 team no trade clause. I would have hoped we tried.
  6. It’s definitely not. Norris. Lyon. Kesselring. Timmins. Doan. Year 2 for Zucker and McCleod. If Norris stays healthy. If Kulich, Benson, and Quinn (15 points last 16 games of season) continue to develop. Maybe one of the other kids makes a leap. If Power suddenly starts reaching his potential. And the Goaltending can just be average. Why aren’t we a playoff contender? 80-85 points should be this group’s floor. Just trying to be optimistic here. Getting Tuch to sign is now top priority.
  7. Sure. I didn’t say it’s THE reason. Just a major one. They want to win, yes but I bet they all tell you deep down they know every year there are only a few teams that can win the Cup - money comes first with a shot at a Cup very close 2nd. You're right tho they definitely do not want to go to a dysfunctional franchise. It could be located in a tax free oasis if they are terrible they’ll look to go somewhere else. They also get taxed in the state they play in. They may be able to like elsewhere where but it doesn’t matter. Plus, they do have to live in the city area they play for at minimum 6 months a year. And that’s their home all year if they have families.
  8. I just don’t think it’s Terry’s unwillingness to spend. I continue to believe the hatred these guys have of taxes across all 4 major sports is grossly underestimated. KA wasn’t wrong. You just can’t say it out loud. You need to prop up why you want to spend the next 7-8 years of your life in Buffalo. Starting with the fans. There will be no better city in America to win a major championship right now than Buffalo. Not one.
  9. Can always trade him at the deadline. Assuming we are out of a playoff chase. If not, we keep him. Maybe he’s happier we’re winning and agrees to an extension. Win win. Idk.
  10. My point is we need Greenway's traits in the top 6.
  11. Yea he does those things - then he’s injured.
  12. I just hate that Greenway is on this team I’m sorry. I have no use for him. ZERO offense. Can’t fight. Doesn’t do it enough. Great on the PK I guess. We need a more skilled version of him.
  13. I’m calling complete b.s. on this. The Leafs are going to lose one of the best players in the league - and the NHL is going to make sure they are compensated by forcing Vegas to trade them good players out of fear they will be investigated for “tampering.” No way Vegas didn’t (supposedly talking to Marner’s people) do what every single team does with UFAs Now suddenly the league wants to make an example of someone? What an absolute joke. Per the responses - yes the Leafs are extorting and blackmailing Vegas.
  14. Plan A: It’s going to be Levi and UPL The GM gave the contract to UPL that says we believe you’re a legit NHL starter They let Levi develop and cook in the minors this year. They did everything they could to make sure he didn’t hit free agency after Northeastern. He was the main piece in your Reinhart trade. They want him to be the guy. He’s going to be 24 in December. Beginning to feel like it’s now or never with Levi. Golden opportunity to take the job and relegate UPL to a backup. Not sure who your 3rd option can be at the moment. Plan B: In season trade.
  15. Too soon to ask this question honestly. Have to give it to August.
  16. But the NHL is trading 23 year old 70 point forwards to get their hands on one!! 😏
  17. I think it’s more his English isn’t good.
