I like him - he appears like he truly wants to be a part of this. That’s important especially since he came up thru the dark ages with this organization. He seems to be playing a grittier game. Good solid bottom 6 guy you should have at a good cost - with top 6 potential. 40 points - only a minus 9. I’m pleased.

I told everyone back during the slump - and mini slump part 2 in I think early February or whenever that it was alright - that they will get thru it and be ready to make a run. They did.

Meh - a few in spurts but I thought it was tough. I don’t recall feeling like “dam that should have been a goal” on more then 1 or 2. We’re an elite offense and scored 2 goals - Skinner was good. I’m just saying it felt like the Oilers collectively looked better making it tough on us thru the neutral zone. When we were able to cycle I think we got a few chances in the 3rd but it didn’t feel like they were high danger. 11 shots on net in the 3rd. 4-0 Chicago.

The addition of Ekholm is why the Oilers will get to the SCF We had a lot of good shots but not too much high danger chances the Oilers seemed to be able to make things difficult for our O. They play like this vs the West they’ll go a long ways.
