When you take a guy who's been a big scorer his whole life, as Jeff has been (a Top 6 at worst-usually more), and start jerking him around and make him a bottom 6 forward as Krueger did last year. And, then start spouting off about not working on what needs too, it begs the question Mr.Coach- what the hell's goin on? I wonder what the hell some of our other stars would be doing if Rakru had come in and put these guys down in Skinner's role? It could be that Skinner's psyche is a mess now and pounding into him I don't like you is having an impact now. I mean this has been building up for a year and half. Is it not coach's job to get the most out of the players?

I suspect there are many players of Skinner's type in the league who would not fare well productively , and as a result emotionally, in this situation in which he's been placed. Anyone who's played or watched hockey for a long time, will know that the people who produce big goals and assists are largely based on who they play with and how much PP time they get. I just feel like since the beginning of last year when RK took over, and until now, he has done nothing to help him succeed on the scoresheet. The fact that so many players are underachieving is an indictment more of the coaching staff and the system than the players. If your being honest ask yourself if you were in RK position? Can you feel good about the way so many of these guys are playing? I'll bet a good, veteran GM would be pretty pissed off at the lack of performance and motivation.

Agreed. I keep hearing how JS is not producing and you can't blame coaching, its all his fault. What is the argument when you have a group of talented players and they are all underperforming? Does the coach not bear some responsibility? I thought good coaching was essential to team success in hockey!

Well it certainly isn't to add more top 10 drafted players, we have 10 already.

Poorly constructed club to my optics. We don't have even size, toughness and grit and haven't for a long time. I see us behind, the goalie pulled and the crew of periphery players we have on the ice -(no one can dig the puck from corners ,the boards, or get to damn scoring zone)- and I conclude we lack players willing to do this. The problem with that is I hear a coaching staff that tells them to be patient and wait for the play on the PP. We are a circumvent club is my conclusion.

This coaching staff has lost the team period. There is no belief whatsoever they have the answers, and why should they?what have they ever done?

I think he's on the right track and makes a compelling argument for increasing the net size at the higher levels. Watching some games this season has me visualizing a return to the dead puck era.

The onus is on Krueger to prove his philosophy works. I'm dubious when I hear things reported like on the PP we want to wait for the perfect play. And, when I watch stupid little things the players still do -like not sealing the boards.

Does anyone know if RK has a wife or daughter? because Skinner absolutely banged one or both them.

I don't know about panic. We've been competitive games in all but the 6-1 game, and we won it! We do have some questions, like what's going on with Skinner/Coaching staff etc.? Second goalie? I also maintained that teams that weren't in the playoff bubble started out behind the others who were. Are we as good as Wash or Bost? not a chance. Are we competitive with the rest?-yes. Are we better than anyone? no. Oh and no way Jack is checked out!

Any approach overused will be dialed in by the opposition. You must be multiple in the options that you attack with on PP.
