What's with the graphics on the screen? Does it look like its off the screen a little?

I've been sans computer for the first period, but I have to agree. As I texted my friend, the New #9 is way better than the Old #9. Ott brings probably a little less skill to the table than Derek Roy, but he brings a whole lot more grit and a physical presence. That whole package is a good deal for Buffalo.

I've been to the barber and had my hair cut with Marcel Dionne, Lindy Ruff, Rick Martin, and Larry Playfair, at the same time. There's the current team, dozens of alumni, plus a few scattered former NHLers who didn't play for the Sabres. Buffalo is a destination for NHL players particularly because it is close to Canada. If the money is there, Buffalo has the intangibles for these guys.

I'm late to the party here... But I do have some input. A couple weeks ago, I got it in my head that I'd like to make some homemade eggnog. Rather than splurge on expensive bourbon, I settled on Wild Turkey 101. The final product was great. Eggnog had a lot of full flavor and a lot of whiskey taste. I actually drank the WT neat though. It was a very flull flavored whiskey. I got a hint of leather, spices, and some oaky hints. To be honest, it was a bit rough to swig down due to the 50% ABV, but it was not a bad drink for $22 for a 750ml bottle. It's definitely a hobo drink, but for under $25, you're getting a full flavored, strong drink that won't make you forget!

Good post. Look for my pm... As far as autism, for those who don't know or understand, autism is a catch all label like cancer. Autism comes in many forms, like cancer (breast, liver, prostate, etc.). AU is a communication and socialization disorder that has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with what happened today. AU does not affect overall cognition, mental health, or morality. Yesterday's events were evil by someone who had mental problems. He will meet his judgement, but no one should mention the word autism with what happened yesterday.

My In Laws will be arriving in about 1 hour for the weekend... I only have approximately 50 beers on ice. This may not be enough, so I'm complaining!

To the OP, you are absolutely correct. However, even though this team was going strong before that Boston game, something was bound to happen to destroy the chemistry, even if the Lucic hit never happened. When its all said and done, I'll be glad that it happened early in the season, rather than in the playoffs or something.

I got a brand new car and it was in for 4 recalls on Monday. One of the recalls was for the amplifier in the back. That night, I parked the car outside, next morning the rear defroster doesn't work. They had messed that up while fixing hte amplifier. Back to the shop yesterday. Also, my seat was squeaky, so that's been ordered and should be here on Monday or Tuesday. This work is all free to me except for the inconvenience. Therefore, my complaint is with the 2012 VW Jetta TDI. I had an 09 and it was a GREAT car. This 2012 model is essentially the same car with a few upgrades. It drives great, gets great mileage, but its just not the same. They did some cost cutting measures to bring more "frill" features to the car like a killer stereo, speakers, and a longer wheelbase but kept the overall cost the same as older models. Some differences between the 09 and 12: 1) gas shocks on trunk and hood are gone. A really minor thing, but a major convenience on my older car. 2) Independent rear suspension is gone. I have't really noticed this, but it could come into play if i'm going 70 on the highway and have to avoid. 3) Dashboard is minimal. There's now a digital fuel gauge. There's not even a real fuel gauge, and water gauge is missing too. Again, the little things DO matter. I used to look at the water gauge as much as the speedometer. Lets me know if my car has come up to temperature properly. 4) Interior plastic molding. It's now just plastic. Used to be that soft faux leather stuff. 5) Front seat is no longer motorized. Hence the squeaky seat. In place of an actuator motor, there is now a spring that is rubbing the wrong way. Those are my top 5 complaints. Again, if you're in the market for a new car, go for a 2012. If you want a used car, get an 09 TDI. They hold their values so much better than a gas car, so you'll pay slightly more, but its worth it. VW seemed to have made the decision to strip the Jettas and make people pay a premium for the Passat (~$5k-$10k more) to get the "luxury" features back. Their decision was probably a smart one based on their business model. However, I'll be paying more for the passat next time since they've cheapened a previously really really good car. I just need to get out of grad school first to pay for it!

I'm immune to it! I'm pissed that today I have to help my friends move in next door. Yes, my friends ar emoving in, but it sucks because its hot as hell and they're moving out of the 2nd floor of their apartment. 105 degrees + uhaul + eliptical machine = they owe me a LOT of beer. Good news though, I'll be drinking said beer by 5pm

It's my boy's first week at daycare. Lots of tears from him in the morning, and really REALLY tired afternoons. Hopefully the adjustment period is short!

Well, this has been a heavy Thursday complaint day! My grandma is gone, so I think that all prayers go to your families. As for my grandma, I appreciate all of your condolences. I have truly found peace over the past couple of days.

Open for business. My grandma died on Tuesday. Although it was her time, and she went peacefully, it's been a bad week.
