  1. 39.1 seconds, but whatever and naturally, its underfrigginreview i bet scrotumbraum is shaking in his boots OVERTIME!! tied at 3
  2. SCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 20 seconds to go and its tied!!!!
  3. HOLY MILLER!!!! ok guys, as i type this i cannot believe my eyes. The puck did get past him and hit the crossbar, but even RJ called it a goal. Wow... if the sabres don't take advantage of that break, i'm going to give up on this season tonight.
  4. paetsch just destroyed cowan in the corner. This game has swung big time.
  5. Roby has the refs balls on his chin tonight... i agree bob... and HOOOOOONK FOR THE GOOSE!!
  6. i wonder if ruff will correlate that goal to his anti ref comments made the other day? that type of treatment is well in the range of possibility for the NHL.
  7. that would be two games in a row where the sabres have been clearly jobbed by bad calls.
  8. pyatt kicked it into the net. it was unintentional, but he did CLEARLY kick it in. goal is under review um, pyatt kicked the puck into the net, clear as day, yet the goal stands. 1-1
  9. i'm worried about kotalik though... novotny's injury looked more like a tweak that he just has to shake off. good thing the all star break is coming up.
  10. kotalik was hurt a bit. and now novotny is down with a cheap shot. trainer came out, but novotny looks to be just shaking it off. wow, he got his leg caught funny... he is ok th ough
  11. sabres are controlling the play, offensively and defensively. Killed off one penalty beautifully. now we're on the PP... lets see if we've improved.
  12. based on the play of these two teams, it will be shortly. jiri novotny has just shown his worth to this team. amazing puckhandling skills on the PK
  13. THAT GOAL WILL STAND!!!! Pominville slaps home a funny bounce, his stick firmly on the ice! 1-0 sabres
  14. no goal... confirmed , and i'd have to agree. inconclusive at best. The NHL needs to do itself a favor and get some cameras at the height of the crossbar on the goal line. it would make these things much easier
  15. quick start... STAFFORD SCOOOOOOOOORES... no goal... he knocked the puck out of mid air, right at the level of the crossbar... They're reviewing it, and to be honest, i think he hit it a little high. one angle looks good, one looks close, one looks bad... stay tuned. Either way, we're buzzing like crazy tonight
  16. breaking news: Luongo out, sauerson (or whatever it is) in.
  17. 8pm This is the game where the WINNING streak can begin... But that's secondary to the big news: It's the return of Taylor Pyatt and Rory Fitzpatrick. I hope the latter gets a nice golf clap at the arena tomorrow... After all, it was this clown that, despite the half millon votes, ended up losing game 7 for us. Injuries, sminjuries... Fitzpatrick lost us the Prince of Wales Trophy, and hell shall be summoned upon him and his puny minions of canucks. I think Buffalo starts to roll tomorrow night... Paille and Stafford provided the spark that this team needs. It's also a beginnig of a back to back with the second game against the habs... I think this game screams for marty to start so that miller can bring his game to montreal. Thoughts??
  18. The sabres lost again, but lost in all the shootout talk is the fact that they got a point... something they haven't done in 2 previous games.
  19. its still 2-2 after 2. Another tight period and MILLER!!! wow!!! by the way, the sabres had a much better period and had some great scoring chances towards the end of the period. Baby steps in the 3rd.
  20. remember the save in the 2003 fan appreciation video where he describes a hasek save as "oh, we are not worthy!"??? do you remember that? Miller's save was better.
  21. wow, what a weird period. The sabres absolutely stunk up the joint, but played well for a few shifts and come out of it with a tie. Lucky to be tied, but great teams take what's given to them. Hopefully the sabres will prove to be a good team today
  22. 20 minutes till the start. I don't think i've anticipated a game like i am now in a long time... probably the atlanta game in october. Why? This is a make or break game. This is our playoffs right now. Win and it turns around, fast. Lose, and its more of the same.
  23. just saw it. hopefully it will be a 10-14 day "shoulder" injury like afinogenov had in november...
  24. I had a doomsday feeling in regards to your comment, about 5 minutes after the toronto game last thursday. Immediately after center ice blacked out, i changed the channel to espnnews and caught the bary melrose hockey segment. IMMEDIATELY after pulling out some of my beautifully quaffed hair over that disaster of a game, melrose toots the horn about how "great" the sabres are, and how they're the "class" of the NHL and other great things about the team. Hell, to a lamen, the Sabres are the 1972 dolphins at this point. I guarentee you that the sabres are buying into their own press. All great teams do at some point. Hopefully they've bought into the bad press after these past couple games too though. On that note, i can't wait to hear what the NESN guys have to say!
