  1. Honestly don't care either way. This is the Bruins we are playing, I want "RISTO SMASH" all game long.
  2. Yea, I was working down the list today. I like Clarke, a lot. And I suspect we are going to be in need of an up coming RHD. If Buffalo lands at say 2, and Beniers is 5aken 1, I'd offer 2 for the Devils two 1st rdr's. And I would target Clarke with that 5/6 pick.
  3. Bruins looked tired last game. 1 days rest not enough, Buffalo's young guns pounce, early and often. Buffalo 4 Boston 1
  4. I want Beniers. I've reviewed some video on Powers, Hughes and Edvinsson. Not a lot, but I've also been reading the multitude of pundit/analysts scouting reports on them. I'm not impressed. And while Beniers reports are 9f a 2 way 2nd line caliber type player, I'd much rather pick him given the over whelming support of his speed/motor type game. In conclusion, if Berniers is there for us at 1 or 2, we take him. Imho.
  5. Not bumped, win our way to 4. And yes, Wallstedt at 3, he's that promising imho.
  6. Powers, unless we take Beneirs. But if by chance we get bumped to 3 then it has to be Wallstedt. If we win our way to the 4th OA there is 0 doubt we take Hughes.
  7. I can still remember my brother and I both screaming at the same time, "Oh ****".
  8. I concur, you expose Olofsson.
  9. The Bruins are constantly moving in the O zone, repositioning themselves and not just gliding but their legs are in constant motion, creating open players in various places in the O zone. Now, contrast that with the Sabres, who almost always are caught standing still, or lightly gliding with little leg motion. They create less space in doing so, making it much easier for the Bruins to apply pressure to the puck carrier. This happens with most Sabres opponents, game in and game out. When they move, they create, when they don't move they turn over the puck, again, in most cases. They are getting better at movement however. Also, when they are on a 2 v 1 or 3 v 2 situation as they rush to the O zone, they are linear in their movement in most cases, 3 abreast, that actually makes it easier for the opponent D to defend. Notice when Boston is in those rushes they usually have perpendicular movement as well as linear, creating more open space. The Sabres have speed, if they can learn to utilize that speed to create consistent open space, as their opponents do, I surmise their shot attempts in danger areas and their GF% will increase dramatically, thereby altering the momentum and flow of the game. Just my observation.
  10. Not upset in the least. Our boys had their chances, they're young, they couldn't capitalize on them tonight, it happens when they are growing in to NHL players, as a group, an NHL Roster. The power play needs less passing, more shooting. They don't shoot enough. Boston still uses high pressure on the puck carrier to disrupt the Sabres youth. It works less now than before, but they still have work to do with crisp, quick passing, moving your legs, finding open slots, so they can maintain puck possession without putting up so much of a self inflicted fight to do so. They'll learn. On to the next. Go Sabres!
  11. Buffalo looking dangerous. They had a couple of great chances, same as Boston. Ya, I like what I see, I like what this team is about to become. Speed. Speed kills. Buffalo takes the 2nd, 3 goals.
  12. Glove. That was a nice save.
  13. If it is to be, I'd prefer Eichel be the one on the move. Preferably to a WC team. There are 10 million a season reasons he should be the one.
  14. 1. Win 2. Win some more 3. Win until your the last team winning
  15. I think he had a turd turtling and was focusing on keeping his cheeks clinched.
  16. Poor Kyle, the guy can't catch a break. (No pun intemded)
  17. I object, the name is Karen. 😛
  18. Good for her. She deserved the honors.
  19. Donny Meatballs is making a very strong case for his consideration as the head coach. If it was on par or below competition the Sabres were beating in this stretch I would agree with those that are skeptical. But the fact is the Sabres under Granato's leadership are beating teams in all or nearly all facets of the game that are jockeying for playoff seat seeding. And to be frank, they are highly competitive in every game. Is Granato the guy? What he has done given where the team was and where it is now, he is most certainly a serious consideration. We have the remainder of this season to see if he can maintain a consistent competitive product, imo we'll know much more at the close of the season.
  20. Well MODO, if we didn't know then, we sure as hell do now. You are very correct, the coach. We as fans often over look the coaching. The 2020/2021 Buffalo Sabres are a text book case of just how critical coaching philosophy and it's implementation can impact not only a player, or a couple of players, but an entire roster. Wow is all I got, just.....WOW. It's like night and day.
  21. A bad case of blue balls will do that to a man.
  22. I concur, money is not an issue for the Pegulas. They did make a huge mistake though. They could have hired me and I would have held social distance zoom practices, where no physical conditioning skating, no real practice. Instead, I would have had 1 on 1's with each player and asked them about their feelings, if they felt confident, and if not, would they like a wet Teddy to cuddle with. Ralph got paid a boat load to do exactly what I just wrote above. At least I would have kept the money local.
