But to be completely objective on Eichel, he never put up 100 points here and he wasn't an impact at all for the teams ability to move towards competitive hockey for a run at the playoffs in any event. I weigh both the pros and cons of trading him, and as of right now, today, I see no immediate concerns on the cons of trading him. He wasn't a difference maker here, we can be no worse off than we are now. But I also understand the natural reflex to look at his talents and say, hey, that guy can be one of the main factors to turning this around. The fact is, he hasn't been for 6 years now, I don't see it changing significant enough to change my mind either. I'm in the trade him camp, same with Sam and Risto. It didn't work with these guys, and whether it's agreed or not, Stanley Cup winning Kyven Adams is correct, players need to want to be here. Granato has the kids playing hungry, I haven't seen that very often, or at least with any consistency from Jack, Sam or Risto to be honest, and we have hundreds of losses in those 6 years as solid evidence backing that. Just my 2 cents.

While losing Ryan was a big lose for this rebuilding team at the time, I have the same sense that losing Jack won't be such a big impact. I guess as fans, some of us, maybe even over half of the fan base, have become so numb to the talent and skills these players bring considering the last decade of hockey in Buffalo. Winning changes that I suppose.

I'd want both Byfield and Turcotte.

I agree with all. I've said repeatedly I have 0 issues with moving on. It's not working. When combined with the high draft pick this year, Cozens, Mitts, Dahlin, Joker, Borgen, Tage and a couple others, these trades could not only catapult the franchise to potential competitiveness, but do so for a strong dozen years or so.

Excellent optimism. I'm extremely impressed with this early upbeat 2021/22 season PA. I like PA. He handled the pressure of being one of the lone voices railing, and at times, nailing T-ba.....errrr.....T-Pegs. But, there is something missing. PA needs help. I nominate LG to help PA reach his optimism pinnacle. LG, should you except, you have 4 months before the 2021/2 season kicks off, we expect to see concrete results in the PA season opener product, hell, he may even start the season opener GDT.

I'm interested in only 1 trade partner for Jack Eichel at this time, the Los Angeles Kings.

Is he gone yet?

Agree completely. The "kids" looked like they were hungry to compete once RK was put on the shelf. Is Granato the guy? I don't believe he's the only guy, but, he'll get due consideration I'm sure. As for the losing itself, if we move Reinhart, Eichel and Risto, like many others I'm hoping for good, talented, young players, some futures (draft picks and developing positional talent, i.e. stay at home type D men) but most important of all, some veterans who's compete level and drive are infectious. We'll see where the off season takes us, I'm hopeful. -

I don't get it, I see no issues with his responses. He's an RFA for a number of years to come, it's not like he has control of the next 3 to 4 years. This is a non issue imo.
