  1. I'm not advocating moving him because he is the cruces of the problem, I am all for moving him for several factors, but I wouldn't hesitate to move him.
  2. Yes, I'm full aware of the overall mess the team has been, from top to bottom.
  3. Reinhart, Eichel, this years 1st unprotected for Byfield, Turcotte, Kalieyv and Bjornfot. Yes, No?
  4. Thorny, come on man. You see the freaking season ending records these past 6 seasons Eichel has been here. You aren't honestly going to sit here and try and tell me with him on the roster our situation has improved, at all? The fact is, we've had two finishes dead last in the past 3 years now. We aren't going anywhere with him in the line up that we couldn't go to without him in the line up. I get it, he's got skills, but I'm not one to fawn over those skills. He can go, and I wouldn't bat an eye, same with Samson, same with Risto. We literally finished dead last this year, dead last, and we did it 3 years ago to. So yea, they can mosey on down the road, that is my mind set on the situation.
  5. Oh, I'm not putting blame on him, I'm merely pointing out that he was, in point of fact, a non factor impact wise to a competitive Sabres team. And, as we are all well aware, the 6 seasons since he's been here team record bares this out.
  6. I don't understand where the nothing comes from. Certainly we are going to get something in return for him in a trade, no? Are you implying Botterill is still the GM and we are going to get ROR'd all over again? Because I don't see Kyven Adams as Jason Botterill, at least, not yet.
  7. It is a very logical statement, since factually, he has not had an impact on moving the team in a competitive direction.
  8. But to be completely objective on Eichel, he never put up 100 points here and he wasn't an impact at all for the teams ability to move towards competitive hockey for a run at the playoffs in any event. I weigh both the pros and cons of trading him, and as of right now, today, I see no immediate concerns on the cons of trading him. He wasn't a difference maker here, we can be no worse off than we are now. But I also understand the natural reflex to look at his talents and say, hey, that guy can be one of the main factors to turning this around. The fact is, he hasn't been for 6 years now, I don't see it changing significant enough to change my mind either. I'm in the trade him camp, same with Sam and Risto. It didn't work with these guys, and whether it's agreed or not, Stanley Cup winning Kyven Adams is correct, players need to want to be here. Granato has the kids playing hungry, I haven't seen that very often, or at least with any consistency from Jack, Sam or Risto to be honest, and we have hundreds of losses in those 6 years as solid evidence backing that. Just my 2 cents.
  9. While losing Ryan was a big lose for this rebuilding team at the time, I have the same sense that losing Jack won't be such a big impact. I guess as fans, some of us, maybe even over half of the fan base, have become so numb to the talent and skills these players bring considering the last decade of hockey in Buffalo. Winning changes that I suppose.
  10. I'd want both Byfield and Turcotte.
  11. Eichel's not worth the effort, time to move on from him.
  12. I agree with all. I've said repeatedly I have 0 issues with moving on. It's not working. When combined with the high draft pick this year, Cozens, Mitts, Dahlin, Joker, Borgen, Tage and a couple others, these trades could not only catapult the franchise to potential competitiveness, but do so for a strong dozen years or so.
  13. And absolutely impeccable timing. His value for trade is extremely high this off season. Given his lackluster enthusiasm for remaining in Buffalo, it is time........
  14. He's a Stanley Cup winner, and he's not wrong, imho.
  15. Excellent optimism. I'm extremely impressed with this early upbeat 2021/22 season PA. I like PA. He handled the pressure of being one of the lone voices railing, and at times, nailing T-ba.....errrr.....T-Pegs. But, there is something missing. PA needs help. I nominate LG to help PA reach his optimism pinnacle. LG, should you except, you have 4 months before the 2021/2 season kicks off, we expect to see concrete results in the PA season opener product, hell, he may even start the season opener GDT.
  16. I would normally agree, except............. We have a secret weapon, he is "The One"............ Donny Meatballs!!! I can see some solid additions this off season.
  17. As they should, because if they move him, the decision falls on another franchise. Literally PA, we should take the pot'O'gold we're going to get for him and run, run as fast and as far away as we can from him. Just my 2 pennies is all.
  18. Owner meeting with GM is next on the schedule, so no, not yet I gather.
  19. Eichel, Reinhart and Risto are gone for young guns and draft picks. That's what that tells me.
  20. Duct Tape, two 24" 2 x 4's, a cup of hot dandelion tea with ginzing and 6 marbles?
