This is probably a dumb question but i got my first covid vaccine shot almost 2 weeks ago. Moderna. i have my second appointment is 1 month from my first. I read that the j&j vaccine has approval and is a very different type of vaccine. Once everyone gets their vaccine and we are in a state of excess of vaccines, would there be any benefits to getting the j&j one too? Basically 2 vaccines to help my chances of not getting it

I got my ungrateful mother in law a vaccine appointment. I swore after she complained that nobody got her one that i wasn't going to look anymore, even though i had tried every day up to that point, waking up at 430am to try to get into the virtual waiting room. I only tried today because my wife complained that her mother keeps bugging her about it. I told her that her mother should have given any amount of effort to get her own damn appointment. Or any of her other siblings could have tried. However in order to keep my wife sane, i did it. Luckily there was a ton of appointments so when i got in, i was able to get an evening appointment. By 7am or so they were all gone At least her mother can now shut it

I love how the media gives half or no truth in their stories I read articles that say the vaccine does not work against the new virus strain. And "its a race against time" at the very end you read the single sentence that says the vaccine does in fact prevent the new strain from becoming serious and another article even said that it does about 35% of the typical antibody and that is typically enough to kill it right away. And that last sentence only appears in a couple of the articles and contradicts the entire story I agree the vaccine is not the same strength against the variant as the one its designed for but when these articles makes claims its a race against time. I dont know why i read stuff. At this point I think most if not all is partial truth only and should be for entertainment purposes only Its all clickbait garbage. It just irritates me anymore that our media, in general, has lost its integrity and as people we haven't come back and said mo more lies. The authors and the outlets that run it should be held financially accountable for lies and fear mongering. Just to add, i just read an article written by mesia outside of the usa and they are writing hiw good tge vaccine is when it comes to preventing serious issues. It also spoke about how the us media is playing up the bad stuff only, even though its such a small percentage. I do like that people called out nbc for focussing on the 4 people that got covid in one state after getting vaccinated fully, and people called them out on fear mongering. it needs to happen all the time. With everyone wanting to "cancel" everything, why not lying media

how much snow did you get? today is my wife's birthday. she is insisting on having a small party with her mother and sister and her sisters boyfriend. we are 3 weeks away from our second vaccine shot and really wished she would have just put her birthday on hold until after we got our shots, but cant tell her anything. makes me so mad

I cant believe they weren't rapid testing. Honestly, this season should just be canceled and start as normal next year after vaccines are available to everyone

This is nuts to continue the season without vaccines. the nhl should be sued for putting them at risk like this. The commissioner should be replaced immediately Its unnecessary and dangerous

This team should be better but they haven't yet had consistent time to play with covid and all That being said, i still think they have no chance to make the playoffs in this difficult division. I dont think this team is any less likeable than the others. They are consistent losers and probably will be for years. The team needs a true leader that has won in the past that keeps these guys playing hard and not giving up. Jack does not seem like a team leader. he is the best on the team but not the leader this team needs

very interesting thing i learned today. A coworker of mine tested positive. he was the one that refused to wear a mask at work and told me he went all over the place and wasnt worried about covid. thankfully i have been working from home for a month, so i have no risk. However, the boss of the company needs to get tested now because the coworker wasnt always careful about being 6 feet away from him (especially since he didnt wear a mask). hopefully the boss requires him to wear a mask going foward. i am just ready to get my second vaccine dose and be done with this stupid virus

We have had how many coaches. This is on the players for not executing consistently

A few years ago i started to follow Minnesota as a team to root for since the sabres looked like poo. As time went on i enjoyed watching them play more than the sabres. The sabres will always be my team because i can't seem to quit them, but their failures dont bother me as much and i can always cound on Minnesota to always be not quite good enough, but not sabres bad

Losing mentality. they have it and haven't seemed to put together a run to stop it. I dont know how many they need to have but its not good right now. The covid breakup didn't help either Also some teams are just losers. Look at the nfl jets. They are horrible year in and year out. I was a jets fan and finally just stopped watching all together.

I only watched 5 minutes or so of the first period. I am glad that is all i got to watch

i got my first vaccine dose today at the cvs. my wife got her dose on friday. we both got the moderna one. im really glad i got up at 430am to make the appointments the day they went live. i have been trying every day since to get my mother in law an appointment and havent had any luck. even getting up at 430am, i am put in the waiting room and by the time i get out of the waiting room the whole state is booked up my mother in law got mouthy with my wife when she heard my wife and i were able to get appointments but we couldnt get one for her. i decided i am not going to look for her anymore. i was the one that got up at 430 am and for 3 hours to get the appointment, meanwhile she doesnt try at all and expects other people to do it for her, then complains about it. this is what i say to her
