  1. Of course... the first time Bogo or Kulikov take a man in front of the net all year long, and they both take the same man lol
  2. I don't know if Gio was trying to bank that in, or feed it back to Jack who was wide open in the slot. Great idea either way.
  3. "Yolk-alpaca dishes to Zemgus Girgens"
  4. Kucherov scored a hat trick tonight. All three goals on the power play. All three goals one-timers from nearly the same spot. This gif is one of the coolest I've seen. Worth a look! https://twitter.com/bradytrett/status/836417368175730689
  5. The rental price paid for Shatty and Hanzal seems just about the same.. I know which one I'd rather have
  6. Twitter hinting that Shattenkirk will be traded to Washington.
  7. We control their RFA status through their 7th years in the league. Even if they get fed up and sign an offer sheet (after next year at the earliest), we can (and would) match. I'm confident this team can get where they need to be in the next 6 years. If they're still a dumpster fire, then I couldn't blame them for bolting.
  8. Either mega-insurance for Quick, or they have plans to flip him back somewhere else?? Not sure, it wasn't where I would have guessed Bish would land. Maybe LA just wants to own all the top USA netminders. NJ's phone should be ringing...
  9. Caution.. I think that might have been a fake account Bish to LA is legit though. Blue check mark McKenzie says so haha
  10. Ben Bishop traded to the LA Kings
  11. Fear the streak no more! CBJ just came off their bye week and won 7-0 over the Islanders.
  12. This is bad news for Bogosian. Unless the Sabres magically squeak in, Bogo (512 and counting) will take over as active leader for games played without a playoff appearance. For the record, Kane is fourth behind Hainsey, Bogo, and Eberle.
  13. I think Cuse just punched their ticket in dramatic fashion. The bank was open for a huge buzzer-beating three to cap off a come-from-behind win over Duke. Amazing game leading up to that clutch shot too. They'll be dangerous in March just like last year I think.
  14. I'd make it simple and offer Okposo's deal to Kane.. Tell him KO was the prize of last offseason. This offseason, we don't have to look outside of house to find that prize. Sign an identical deal and lets hit the ice.
  15. We're on the same page here. If you read that as me thinking he'd get a 4 or 5 year deal, that's my bad for not being more clear. Based on Kane's style of play, "5ish" was my projection for how long he'll be an elite performer who I don't want to lose. I'm fully aware (and okay with) overpaying for years 6 and 7 to get the first 4 or 5. There's some GM out there that'll do it. If GMTM sees the value and knows he can make it work with other contracts, I want it to be us. I think this is the same thing we're doing with Okposo. And I'm okay with that too. It's just how contracts work these days for guys in their tier.
  16. I think it's hard to say.. when we traded for Kane, his value was lower because of his injury. But we were also trading for 3.5 years remaining on his contract. Now he's healthy and performing at an elite level, but you're talking 1.5 years of him. Minor off-ice issues to consider then, minor off-ice issues to consider now. Weigh it all, and I think it's hard to say what his value is at compared to the day we traded for him. For the record, I want to see him stay and start working on a contract this off season. If his demands are too high but someone else will pay it, then I could get over a blockbuster this offseason. But I'd want proven commodity back, not futures. Kane is just too valuable right now and the next 5ish years to flush away for futures in my opinion.
  17. It's funny.. before breaking my leg, I was in a pretty bad slump when it came to working out. I was just active enough to not be putting on much weight, but really could have benefitted mentally and physically from exercising more. Then with the broken ankle, I was couped up from Dec 14 until this past week. Now I'm walking without the boot and feeling great, but I'm supposed to take it very easy for the next 6 weeks. And it's killing me. Even though I wasn't working out before, it's like I can't wait to jump into a routine. Almost like the injury was a wake up call and reenergized me. Glad you're feeling better. Keep at it and hopefully the exercise becomes habitual, and the good vibes just become normal. That's always my struggle, turning short term dedication into a long term habit. Best of luck!
  18. Laine just scored on a nasty one-timer in his Matthews matchup. If Laine wins the Calder, Toronto fans will be so gloriously whiny.
  19. I glossed over the neice part and didn't put two and tow together that you'd have all the ladies too. So how many people total?
  20. Are you tied to that weekend you mentioned? I'm getting married in June. For my bachelors party we're going to the March madness games in Buffalo. Round 2 is Saturday afternoon/night at KBC. March 16, 17, and 18 are the options. We got the whole fan experience thing for the 18th. Likely hitting up breweries beforehand and the local bars after. Not sure if your brother is a sports guy or basketball fan. Or if it's too late notice to do March. But thought I'd throw it out there because I'm really excited about mine.
  21. Broke his ankle in practice. Too bad for him. Avs tank just got even worse.
  22. Full 2 minute power plays, regardless of whether the team scores or not. Also would apply to delayed penalties. Still a 2 minute penalty to be served even if the attacking team pulls their goalie and scores. I think this would increase scoring and excitement, while also decreasing some of the clutchy, holdy, grabby nonsense we have now.
  23. Fedun cleared waivers. Very happy to hear that!
  24. StL would take a Reaves for Kane trade any day.. glad Kane didn't partake
