Plenty of players have had a change of heart as they played w/ a team and had success. Not a hockey player, but a great example is Jim Kelly. Guy wanted nothing to do w/ the Bills.

I've already convinced myself the Sabres will not win the lottery. It'll help prevent a let down. Had my moment of excitement when Columbus scored the eventual game winning goal last week to secure "McEichel" for Buffalo. Just hope Eichel doesn't stay in college.

Every person is different. There are countless reasons why his g.p.a., if true, is so low. At times a college athlete, particularly ones in their freshman year, put all of their attention/care towards the sport they are involved. I knew a guy who was very successful in cross country and track while in high school, and he was recruited by many schools. After making his choice, all he cared about was cross country. To make a long story short his first semester g.p.a. was a 1.52. Well below the required NCAA standards. His g.p.a. was due to poor decision making. A light bulb turned on w/ an added get your grades up from his parents, coaches, etc... The guy came back w/ a straight A's the next semester and never finished below a B in a class for his remaining college years. Plus, schools providing athletic scholarships do have required study hall hours/grade requirements. At the school we went to, if your g.p.a. was 3.0 or higher you were not required to attend study hall. My belief, if his g.p.a. is that low, it was by poor decision making, not being academically challenged.

Ennis's goal will probably be a highlight the Sabres show here and there over the years. It was just sick. And yes, Ennis ceiling appears to have risen a bit after this season. W/ in coming talent it's exciting to see what he can do when there are others to play with.

Beyond awesome, but doesn't this focus on US markets? Can CBC broadcast games being played in St. Louis or any other American city? This would have an impact on Canadian markets. I'm sure Buffalo would still be in the top 5.

There's another number ending in 9 he could wear. Ha ha NHL may not allow it though.

Boston is only 1 point behind Pittsburgh. The Penguins can clinch w/ 1 point tonight. If they lose and Boston wins, the Bruins will be in the playoffs. Pittsburgh fans have reason to be concerned about tonight's game.

Go Sabres tonight! Player I'll be pulling for the most is Matt Ellis. He's worked hard for the Sabres. No complaints from the guy. Simply did whatever he was asked to do. This will most likely be Ellis's last game as a Sabre. Hope he lights the lamp tonight!

If Columbus doesn't win this game, I'm on the verge of giving in. The Sabres have put us through 2 years of pure and utter H-E-Double Hockey sticks. All we ask is to lose one more. Just one more game. Yet, they hope to not do that. An area that has no love for hockey is on the brink of landing "McEichel." I'm practically bashing my head in frustration.

All of this sums it up. Two years of BFS. You guys interpret that. I am pissed off right now. Being a Buffalo sports fan can really blow. Can anything ever go in the positive?!!! , feel like Buffalo is cursed!!!

How can you be happy about this? This result of this game may have a significant impact on the Sabres for countless years. Being happy w/out a "McEichel" is just.....stupid.
