-25 Celsius with a wind chill of -37 degrees. North Bay Ontario. Conversion is -34 Fahrenheit wind chill. My son wanted to go on the outdoor rink but public skating at the arena is better option.

I don't think Brendan is french. Not 100% on that but Claude spends most of his time in the US, not Quebec. 2nd wife is Brendan's mother, probably American. -
Don's peed off at Kane for not wearing a suit. Otherwise Evander is a Cherry type. I think he said Bosogian, Ron MacLean gave him a weird look at that one.

Don Cherry flatly said the Jets won the trade, because of Lemieux. Said he was amazing in his pre-junior days. I watch Don for the entertainment factor, he's been wrong many, many times but never admits it. I liked Lemieux but will now keep an eye from a distance. Go Kane!

Watched Marner play last night vs North Bay. He was invisible, as was the entire team. Domi only had two good shifts as well.

Lemieux and Kassian are not the same. Lemieux is smaller but faster. He is a Poop disturber, constantly chirping, but will drop the gloves. The earlier post about PP goals was correct, he's the go to guy on the one timer and he bangs in some rebounds in the dirty areas. His engine revs higher than Kassian and he wants to succeed at all costs. He seems cocky and thinks he's better than the rest. When I met him last month, he had a funny look on his face when asked to sign my Sabres hat. May be some truth to the rumours.

Don't like losing Lemieux but Armia may be easily replaced by Bailey, Baptiste or Fasching. There isn't room for all of these guys at RW. Timmy's watched Armia for a year now, he's made up his mind on his ceiling. He said he would move assets and that's what prospects are. Bold move and I'm hoping for Kane to blossom. Let's go Buffalo!

Eichel with 3 assists on Friday. Connor Hurley and Sean Malone each with a helper in the NCAA. Minnesota got 6 goals but I can't see summary. Fasching's been quiet since WJHC. Fasching got a goal vs Ohio State.

Yeah, Cornel seems to have regressed. Maybe he's getting a larger role with Ritchie gone. Brycen Martin with an assist in the Dub, he's got 13 points in 11 games since his trade to Saskatoon.16 points in 39 games with Swift Current. 1st pair d-man and lots of PP time sure make a difference.

I don't think highly of Ritchie, seen him play often. Plays a heavy game but doesn't bring it every game. Coasts a lot, which may explain his chubby look. Team Canada had him flanking McDavid but he got relegated to the 4th line by the third game because he can't keep up. He is not fast. Takes a lot of dumb penalties too.

Reinhart? No way Timmy moves his first ever pick for damaged goods. Kane can be had for less. Reinhart is our future #1 or 2 C. If we miss out on McEichel and have traded Reinhart where are we at that position? I would gamble on Kane, but for one of our UFAs, Hodgson or Foligno, a prospect (Pysyk) and some swap of picks.

Is he a Tim Murray type of player? Teddy may not be here when it matters. I like Ted but I think Timmy changes course when he feels the need for a development coach. He may view Ted as a get the most out of a tank lineup guy.

He'll help them get the most out of the UFAs they sell off. We may have a hard time passing anybody for 29th, Oilers will be our main competition and I think they have more horsepower. I agree that the fix may be in for Matthews next year. Does Bettman like playing with all of those balls?

I was reading about the CHL prospects game at NHL.com. I did not realize they did on and off ice testing. McDavid was first in on ice testing and third in off ice testing. Konecny was third in on ice and first in off ice. He's not big but impressing me more and more.

Konecny with a couple of assists already for Ottawa 67s. He's really turning it on the last few weeks. MVP at prospects game. He may finally be recovered from concussion. If he keeps this up he'll be gone before our next 1st round pick.

In a few years we just need to be in the mix as a top Eastern Conference team to get into the finals and then watch the fans go bananas. We don't need to be first overall, just solid. Developing a solid core and keeping it together for awhile can lead to some memorable playoff runs and maybe cop a cup.

I watched Baptiste with Sudbury a few times and he is fast. Not bad size either. His ceiling is probably 2nd or 3rd line but if we get McDavid, there would be some history/chemistry. He does have the speed to keep up and complement Connor as well. Look at Crosby's line mates over the years, some are not top six guys but they fit into a role and meshed well. The PP is where you can put the high end talent together for 1-2 minutes.

Cornel also had 1g & 1a for Peterborough, he's heating up. Baptiste had 2a for Erie. Bailey had an assist for the Soo.

Anybody think Enroth will be moved? Where? No rumours but I wonder if San Jose would want some insurance for the playoffs and would audition him in case Niemi bolts in July.
