Only two games into the tournament but I am not impressed with Adam Fantilli. He is not horrible but he has not done anything that stands out to me. He is doing well in the NCAA and some scouts were saying he is closing the gap on Bedard but I just don’t see it. He is a late 2004 born kid, 9 months older than Bedard.

I think he was at rookie camp too. He was solid tonight, big win for him. KA should sign him before other teams jump ahead. It is not like he is a sure thing but another G in the system is not a bad thing. He is used to seeing a lot of rubber, Tri City was giving up close to 40 shots a game last year.

Devils have built a lead but they are not as good as their start was. Caps are old but riding the Ovi chase train. Isles have Sorokin, could carry his team like Shesterkin did last year. Sabres have to beat teams like these and Florida in head to head matchups. We’re not dead yet and if they continue to play well, there will be meaningful games for while.

The old debate of Gretzky vs Lemieux will always be there. Gretzky had better health, thanks in part to the protection he was afforded by Semenko, McSorley and the league. This led to his longevity and the all time records. Lemieux had better overall skill and size, the major health issues shut him down often. One on one I would take him vs anybody because you could not get the puck from him.

As you get older you realize that health is the most important thing to have. Happy holidays everyone! I wish you all a healthy New Year and a Sabres winning streak.

Tage leads the team in shots by a lot and he has a great shooting percentage. Dragging the Sabres down is KO with a 5.9% and Power with 0%.

None at all. Rosen just scored to give Sweden a 2-1 lead.

1 part of the equation is that the Sabres have a deadly PP. Most of the goals are from one timers, tap ins or great snipes. The overall volume of shots is low but conversion rate is high. Dont ask me to provide the statistical proof, they are not a high volume shooting team on the PP and 5v5.
