Broken play but we will take it.

It seems the LHD/RHD lines have been blurred due to necessity this year. Dahlin, Power, Mule and Bryson have played on their off side. Johnson would provide depth and perhaps he can play his off side as well. He can probably become one of the 6 and maybe be top 4 if he reaches his ceiling. I still want to see him sign with the Sabres. Portillo and Levi could be the combo of the future. More teams are relying on tandems vs a full time #1. Portillo hopefully sees an opportunity in Buffalo and will sign. They aren’t gone until they are.

Lindgren has dropped off quite a bit offensively. My take on it is that he is on a new team that has a 20 year old Dman who is their go to guy for PP and ice time. Brent Sutter’s team is going for it all this year and there is no need for Lindgren to take on extra responsibility on a good team. They are probably having him work on his defensive game and the Sabres may have encouraged this as well. He will be on a winning team and his role should become more important as he gets comfortable and the coaching staff trusts him more. I hope they win the WHL and get to the Memorial Cup, a great experience for a young player.

Bedard is from Vancouver, let’s help them get a better shot at the next one.

I guess KO and Quinn are out. Maybe Sheahan draws in with Girgs and Hiney on a “true” 4th line.

This is a big game for the Sabres, a loss continues to sink the good start while a win returns them to .500. The Canucks are badly wounded but not dead, they may need this win more than the Sabres. I want Dahlin to have his best game of the season, to show Hughes that he is the best Dman from that draft class, end of discussion from the Canadian media. Let’s go Buffalo!

Need to get a winning streak going, I feel down but I hope they are pumped to win some games. They have played well except for the Arizona game. If they play like tonight they should beat many teams.

Man, Sabres were the better team for most of the night. I am getting tired of losing after playing a good game.

The 13th forward is an NHLer but no injuries there. D depth is suspect and they keep going down. Geez.

I like Kyle but he has been largely ineffective on the ice IMHO. I know he made a gorgeous pass to TT but his play has been below par. Maybe his body will tell him to take a break and let Quinn back in.

Thompson looks hungry tonight. Feed him!

Like everyone else I am very disappointed in last night’s result. Fluky goals and the Sabres lack of shots and driving the net cost them. One player I thought was horrible is KO. He did not make a play on any shift. He also seemed to lack passion and drive. I know he wears the C but I think he should sit out for Hinestroza next game.

They must win, I don’t care if they give the Yotes a loser point, just win.

They look out of sync. Passes into skates or way ahead of the receiver. Casual drop passes to nobody. They just need to stay with it and take shots while crashing the net. I have a feeling Quinn will be in on the next goal, he is involved and hustling.

I want them to handily beat the Yotes to get back on the winning train and to build excitement for the next few games. DG will be telling them not to look past this game, it is a must win one to stay in the hunt for the playoffs. I missed the Tampa game, excited to watch tonight. Let’s go Buffalo!

Maybe the team is weaker than last year, he is really good but maybe the team has regressed.

We can feel that way but I don’t want the team feeling overconfident.
