Watched Quebec vs Halifax game #4. Quebec wins 2-1 taking a 3-1 series lead. Komarov is a big guy, he looks like he might need another year or two for his coordination to catch up to his growth. Another year of junior should help him. He’s getting a regular shift but it doesn’t seem like Patrick Roy uses him as a go to Dman. He wears number 83, kind of an unusual choice. I am going to watch as much of the Winnipeg game as I can stay awake for.

Most teams probably feel that way but there is some satisfaction in knowing your guys are talented and wanted. KA has assembled a good crew. If one of them is hired I don’t want their new GM to poach more guys. Hopefully they have mentored a few guys to be ready for bigger roles if one of them leaves. The biggest immediate impact would be the draft.

Russo is well connected so you never know. Sabres would be good in net with a Hellebuyck-Levi tandem. Helle would block Levi but be a great mentor. Helle is used to playing 60+ games If Levi eventually takes over then that is a testament to his skill. Helle then becomes the savvy vet or gets moved for cap relief. Winnipeg would want a lot but how much do you give up for one year of Hellebuyck? Sign and trade is a different matter. I think UPL would go, Krebs played junior in Winnipeg so they might want him. A draft pick would be something else to add.
